Ok, here's the story. I was going to post this sort of announcement exactly one from week tomorrow after NaNoWriMo had ended, but Emma, in her niceness -glares- most decidedly forced my hand by starting a thread asking for members to join it. However, Elvorn has accidentally deleted that thread, probably due to the fact that his mouse has been rebelling against him lately. So, since I know of no ways to resurrect it from deleted thread limbo, I'm starting it here again. All of you who signed up before, please repost here.
This is the plot: Ever since the first few days of spring, trees at a section of the very edge of Du Weldenvarden have started rotting completely from the inside out, dying in a matter of days. This is obviously from some kind of infection, from the powdery, sickly white growths left behind on the dessicated husks of the trunks. The elves, having seen things vaguely like this before, tried to use their magic prowess to try and isolate the area and purge the disease, but this only seemed to accelerate the process and make the infection spread faster, making the infected area of the forest steadily grow larger. Naturally, the elves and the Varden believed that the Empire was behind it. But soon afterwords, it was discovered that the crops of the northern area of the Empire were also dying, and their mages were having the same amount of success in combating it. Over the past two months, the infection is now spread over a wide area in the north, and is spreading steadily southwards.Now, the Empire has requested a neutral summit to meet with the Varden and discuss joint solutions, for the first time in a hundred years of war. After some deliberation, Lady Lorana's palace in the newly captured town of Feinster has been selected to hold the proceedings. Many among the Varden however are convinced that it is all an elaborate plot on the part of the Empire, and tensions run high. All can agree though, that this infection is a threat to all, beyond the scope of wars and battlelines, and must be halted.
So, basically, we need riders and mages and soldiers scholars... a bunch of smart people to be in Feinster to discuss what can be done. This thread is going to be started by Emma, and not by me, but other threads can be started pertaining to it. Too many people may get messy, but we're willing to try anyway. Who's in?

Nasuada will be there, you can look to that, but she will bring along Tasia and also Tasalae with her. Autumn will not be a part of this plot since she has a baby of her own.

Oh, how I love being annoying. But Angmor, if you recall, YOU were the one who prompted me to make a Main Plot post. I'm there, obviously, with five people, but I SWEARZ my posts will not be murderously lengthy.
I think Ashley and Nathan are bringing Murtagh and Thorn into it too. And that Zkjt is sneaking in.

Welp, the post is up. It's called Ulterior Motives and is in Feinster. It is also absolute CRAP, I HATE it, cause I was an emotional mess when I wrote it, but at least it's THERE. Pele, Remy, and Malandra are representing the Empire and Nemo and Ikehr are representing the Varden. So go forth and POSTETH, children!!!

I would like to join in on the fun with both Daran and Ava Vorandeer. Possibley Don if i can swing it, but he might just be in the area, not in the main story yet.

Not yet, Cap'n, Briae still has to post. Ooh, also, Murtagh and Thorn are coming late, people, because Ashley's currently swamped. And Elvorn sin't sure if he'll make it in.
Anyways, after like a five-minute conversation with our Great Maker the Angmor, me and him have decided that people are just going to mingle for some time, greet people, and there's currently no posting order, so all the eager posters -cough-ME-cough- can just go along as they damn well please. After some time, though, Angmor and I will rein everything in and then very few people are going to post. Everyone else will just watch throughout the whole scene. The negotiations themselves shouldn't take too long. Who will be a part of them? I don't think Nemo or Ikehr will be speaking much, and neither will Pele. Malandra will be talking a lot, though, and she'll drag Remy in. Who else?
