Name: Leuldet Wyrd
Race: Human
Age: 27
Appearance: Due to the many years spent sulking and lying, manipulating and slipping through cracks, Leuldet has acquired a rather gaunt face, carelessly shaven solely because of Imperial Army Requirements. His mouth is almost always drawn into a thin smirk, and is the only emotion the man usually shows. His contempt for others is transparent, showing through the bleak hazel eyes that are usually covered by drooping eyebrows. Also due to Army regulations, Leuldet was required to cut his brown hair, also throughly unkept. His thin, and somewhat scrawny-looking build is used well, usually for stealth or blending in with his environment. Don't let his 5'7'' self fool you, however, when the need arises, the man has been known for surprising strength and agility. But that is when he feels the need to exert himself at all, which is usually never. His hearing is acute, and able to sense very slight movements, which tends to be useful in the army.
Personality: His contempt for most all humans is transparent, and shows through his sarcasm and body language. By nature, Leuldet is not very direct, and instead prefers to 'go the long way', jesting in the most insulting way possible, when at the same time holding a small smirk and a trace a smile. Emotionless may be a word that people describe him as, and cold may be another. Frequently, he finds himself in unwanted situations, due to his extreme lust for money, and willingness to do anything for it. This has often gotten him into trouble, and sometimes, Leuldet will revert back to his old ways of a thief, and cheat his way to victory. His 'antics' are something to be avoided, especially if one is the victim of a stolen meal ration ticket, or a new pair of combat boots. Respect and pride are unknown words to him, and unexisting for that matter.
History: At the young age of 14, Leuldet was enlisted in his father's 'business', the 'art of pickpocketing.' The man had gathered various male youths from around Teirm, and had tought them to cheat and steal their way up in the world. By the age of 18, Leuldet was an accomplished pick-pocketer, and could steal a bag of golden coins from the highest noble without a notice. It was then his father died, leaving the young Wyrd without a purpose. His staggered throughout the city, living off the land. He stole, bargained, charmed his way into the hearts of nobles, and then stole their valuables, whipping the carpets from under them. Gradually, his acts in Teirm were affecting the city too deeply, forcing his move to Uru'baen.
It was there that Leuldet was enlisted into the army. After four more years of pickpocketing and stealing, he was finally caught by the city guard, and was told to make a choice. Either, a rather large amount of years in a dungeon, or service in the military. Wyrd made the obvious choice, and chose the military. His manner has not changed much since, and 5 years later, still retains little human compassion.
Other: Leuldet is rather skillful with the sword, being in the military for 5 years, and has put his good ears to use. Instead of a normal longsword, he prefers a thin, slightly curved knife, still the length of a normal sword, but in the hands of Leuldet, twice as lethal.
His acute hearing has been proved useful to the army, many times over. His ability to detect sounds from a fair distance away, over the normal abilities of regular people, is often used to detect spies, or assassins around a regarded Imperial general, or noble. However, this ability makes him especially inable to fight in normal combat, due to the loud noises involved. Instead, Leuldet protects Uru'baen, and is stationed there for the general population.
