Appearance: Eragon has medium-length, dark brown hair and intense, brown eyes. Since the Blood-Oath Celebration, he has become very elf-like. He, like an elf, has a smooth, angled face. He has tapered ears, like an elf, as well as slanted eyes. His skin has become very pale, as well. Though, keeping with his human birth, his jaw is stronger than an elf's and his brow is thicker and his face is broader. "He [is] fairer than any human and more rugged than any elf." Eragon is completely devoid of scars. He is faster and stronger than any human and he is a deadly archer.

Eragon is also emotional. He often worries about the morality of his actions, and he dislikes killing. He has also been known to get into a lot of trouble. He is very eager for knowledge. He is sometimes rash in decision-making, but always has noble intentions. He only wishes to overthrow Galbatorix, not replace him. He only wants peace and happiness in Alagaesia.
History: (Where to start...)
Eragon
Eragon was born in Carvahall, in Palancar Valley. His mother, Selena, left him with his uncle, aunt and cousin shortly after he was born. His aunt Mirian died shortly after. For the first fifteen years of his life, Eragon lived on his uncle Garrow's farm, working with his cousin Roran. He never knew his father's identity. Unknown to him, Brom was his father. Only Oromis and Glaedr knew at the time, and Eragon didn't know of their existence yet. Eragon was a brave and very skilled hunter, thought so because he hunted in the Spine. Garrow taught Eragon and Roran to have honesty and sincerity, making him that way now.
One day while hunting, Eragon found a polished blue "stone" in in the Spine. After failing to sell it for food, it hatched into a dragon one morning. After touching it, a silver mark was on his hand, which he would later learn was the Gedwey Ignasia. After talking to a storyteller who lived in Carvahall, Brom, he decided to name the dragon Saphira. He raised her secretly, telling no one and covering all of his tracks.
One day, two of Galbatorix's Ra'zac came to Carvahall looking for the stone. Saphira, upon learning of them, "kidnapped" Eragon to keep him safe. When they came out of the Spine, they found the farm burnt down and Garrow mortally wounded. Luckily, Roran had been out of town working by then. After bringing Garrow to a local woman to be healed, he died. Wanting to get revenge, Eragon set off, accompanied by Saphira and Brom. He first used magic when they were ambushed by Urgals by lighting a flying arrow on fire. From then on, he learned magic and the Ancient Language from Brom. He also received Zar'roc, a Rider's sword, from Brom and was taught swordfighting. They managed to track the Ra'zac to Dras-Leona with the help of Brom's friend, Jeod.
While in a shop in Teirm, Eragon met a witch, Angela, and a werecat, Solembum. Telling his fortune, Angela told Eragon that he would live long and fall in love with a lady of noble birth. Also, he would one day leave Alagaesia forever and be betrayed by a family member. Solembum told him that "when the time comes and [he needs] a weapon," to "look under the roots of the Menoa Tree." Also, when all seems lost and Eragon's power is insufficient, to speak his name at the Rock of Kuthian to open the Vault of Souls. He still hasn't the slightest clue what Solembum meant.
En route to Dras-Leona, Eragon learned that Brom founded the Varden and that Saphira's was one egg of three taken by Galbatorix. Eragon and Saphira decided at that point to join the Varden once they killed the Ra'zac.
Eragon started to have dreams about an elf woman but wrote it off as just a dream, until he found he could scry her. In Dras-Leona, the three of them met the Ra'zac and escaped, but were ambushed later at night. They were rescued by a man called Murtagh, but Brom was wounded. He told Eragon that he was a Rider, and Saphira his dragon's name, and died. Eragon lay him to rest in a tomb of diamond, thanks to Saphira's magic.
They went to Gil'ead, and Eragon was captured by Urgals under the Shade, Durza's, command. Murtagh and Saphira rescued him, but Durza came around. He was distracted when Murtagh shot him between the eyes with an arrow, and they also rescued the elf woman. Telepathically, Eragon learned her name was Arya.
The four of them traveled across the Hadarac Desert to Farthen Dûr while being pursued by Urgals and Kull. When the reachrd the mountain, Murtagh admitted to being Morzan's son and was reluctant to go in, but they were rescued by the Varden.
Murtagh was immediately imprisoned due to his parentage, and Arya received the needed medicines to recover. Eragon met the Twins, who tested his claims, but he later learned that they tried to use him to further their knowledge of the Ancient Language. Eragon attempted to bless a child, Elva, but later learned that he accidentally cursed her.
Soon after, many Urgals and Kull attacked Farthen Dur. Eragon was separated from Saphira in the ensuing rushing about, and met the shade Durza again. He was instantly outmatched, but gained the upper hand by Durza being distracted by Saphira and Arya coming through the dwarves' prized gem, and Eragon stabbed him through the heart. Durza was able to give Eragon a good gash on his back, though.
The Urgals fled and the Varden won. Eragon passed out while being healed and was contacted by one who called himself the Mourning Sage and The Cripple Who Is Whole. He was told to go to Ellesmera to receive training. Eragon and Saphira agree to go there with Arya.
Eldest
After clearing up the tunnels below Farthen Dur, Ajihad, Murtagh and the Twins were spotted returning from following the last Urgals, but when they were in sight, they were ambushed by Urgals. Ajihad was killed and Murtagh and the Twins, presumed dead. Nasuada was chosen as the next leader of the Varden, and Eragon swore fealty to her.
Eragon, Saphira, Arya, and Orik left for Ellesmera after Eragon became a member of Durgrimst Ignietum and legally a dwarf. Upon arrival to Ellesmera, Eragon learned that Arya was the elven princess, and met her mother, Islanzadi. He also met Oromis and Glaedr, a surviving Rider and his dragon, who started to train him. Eragon was frustrated at first, but learned what it meant to be a Rider- training was not a set time period, a Rider learned his role throughout his lifetime. He learned a lot about history, art, politics, magic and the Ancient Language. He also learned that he had cursed Elva rather than blessed her, and promised to change it.
While practicing sword-fighting, Eragon found himself hindered largely by the injury inflicted by Durza in Tronjheim. He wrote a poem for the Blood-Oath Celebration. During the festivities, he was magically altered, thanks to the Dragon's magic, and they healed his wound, making him better than new. He was also then elf-like. He was faster and stronger than ever before, and could do more magic.
Eragon and Saphira rushed to Surda to help the war effort, and he killed many but tired quickly. King Hrothgar arrived soon after, with his army of Dwarves. Unfortunately, a rider on a red Dragon appeared, and killed Hrothgar. He battled Eragon and outmatched him, but Eragon managed to hamstring the red dragon and he and the Rider fought. The Rider still outmatched him, but Eragon unmasked the Rider to find Murtagh. He said that he was kidnapped by the Twins, and Thorn, the dragon, was forced to hatch for him. He was forced to swear allegiance via the Ancient Language to the King.
Murtagh had mercy on Eragon and left, taking Zar'roc and leaving him with the knowledge that they were brothers, and thus Morzan Eragon's father. Eragon was soon reunited with Roran and promised to help him find Katrina and kill the Ra'zac.
