Name: Asgar
Age: 100
Race: Elf
Appearance:
Asgar stands at six foot two inches tall, this is taller than most humans but about the average for an Elf, he weighs a little over two hundred pounds. He is quite thin, a common trait among the Elves, however most of his body is made up of Muscule. He has trained from the age of eleven with a sword and magic which is what has made him so toned. His eyes are a deep blue shade, in between Saphire and Navy, and seem to shine when the right light hits it. His hair is short and without any style to it it is nothing special and is a simple Black. As is common among his people he does not wear facial hair, and he has never felt the need to either. He has very pale skin which makes his face look almost ghost like, many people have said it resembles newly fallen snow. This can make him look delicate and men from the other races have said it makes him look like a woman. In his society this is n insult as men and woman are considered equals in everything. His face is rather angular, almost cat like in shape.
He carries with him a-hand-and-a-half sword which is four and a half meters long. He weilds it with two hands when possible but is also able to weild it with one. He is an excellent weilder of his weapon and few can best him in a sword fight. He keeps his sword on his left hip and is readily available to him. Althoug most people have other weapons on their body, a dagger in a boot and what not, Asgar makes do with a single weapon. However he is proficent in most. His sword carries a Jewel in the centre with which he can store energy for spells.
Personality:
The Elves have a reputation as tree hugging hippies, and this is true as most of them are, however even though Asgar loves nature he is by no means a hippie and is a born warrior. Althoug he hates the war he readily fights in it and wants to see the traitor Galbatorix at his feet dead and with the world rejoicing. He is a brilliant swords man and a excellent magician and he utilizes both in battle. He loves to fight other magicians and in battle if he destroys a magician and his wards it is a simple spell to destroy the entire platoon under his protectoin. Some Elves look down on his readiness to fight, but the trees are waking and all Elves feel that the time to sit in the trees is over and they must rally to the fight. As stated before he loves nature. He has been able to feel the life all around him for almost a century from the smallest ant to the Menoa tree. Like every Elf he is a vegetarion and although he would kill a soilder of the empire on sight he would never harm a single animal.
Knowing he is a brilliant swordsman and a highly skilled Magician he is terrible cocky. He talks about himself allot and knows not many could defeat him in a duel of magic or swords. He often points out the flaws in things others say or do, this can cause a rift between Asgar and the person in question but he does not do it to be mean but he does not shade the truth like others do. He is a very straight person and hate it when people mess around. He does what he thinks is best and rarley thinks about the consequences. Due to his age he has never met a rider before. And when he heard that the Dragon eg had hatched for a human he thought it was riddiculous. Humans were weaker than his race and he always belived that he would make an excellent rider, which also happens to be his greatest wish and desire.
He has never been interested in love and sees' no point in it. All he wants for his future is peace in the land he loves more than anythign else and to do that he must use his skill's without wondering whether his mate was safe or not. He is a good lookin Elf and he is sure he could attract a mate but he has left that to others. He is rather hostile to other races beliveing that only the Elves, and Eragon due huim being a rider, have the power to defeat the evil king. With his personality it seems' unlikley that he would make friends but he has a few very close ones who he would do anything to protect.
History:
Asgar was born in the wilderness of Du weldenvarden his parents were both Magicians who had decided to leave the major cities and live a simpler life. His father was called Aret and his mother Uswe. The birth of a child in Elvish society was a momentus occasion it was very rare that it happened, only a few times in a century, but due to the lifespan of the Elves it was never a Major concern. When Asgar was born the parents wanted to bring him up in a city where he would be surounded with Elven culture. They moved to Nadindel in the North East of the forest. Althuogh it was a city all of the houses were essentially a tree sung to accomidate an Elf, or an elven family. Asgar was doted on in Asgar. Not just by his parents but by the other Elves. Due to his being a child he was deemed to be incredibley precious and they would do anything for him. As he was a baby this did not affect him and when he was older he would rather be in the wood than around others. He was taught magic and the art of the sword from a very early age and although he excelled with Magic his sword work was terrible. This did not bother the young Elf who would rather be singing to plants and practising the ancient arts of magic than waving a peice of metal in the air.
It was not until he was twenty, and still all but a child, that he took an interest in Swordplay. He began to undersytand what was happening outside of the forest and he kenw he wanted to help stop it. He and his father spent many hours in the forest learning to fight with a sword. It took years but he soon became an adept. He was told the tales of the riders by other Elves and he was entranced the thing that he loved the most was the bond between Dragon and Rider which was said to be closer than anything else on the planet. He wanted to be a rider from then no but knew the chances were all but nothing. At the age of thirty he joined the Elven milatary. He was sent to the edge of the forest as a patrol guard. However he never saw any action as not even the Kings slave~soilders were stupid enough to wander into the Great Forest of the North. However he learned much when he was on patrol from Magic to how to look after certain plants. His potential in Magic was noticed and he was taken from the patrl to the capital where he was trained under advanced spell casters.
During his training he was once againg sent to the border where he found a spy of Galbatorixes about to cross into the Forest. He was told to bring him back but anger got the better of him and he killed him. He did not make up an excuse but was stoped form patrol duty and told became a messenger for the government. He rode from one end of the forest to the other and he enjoyed it immensley it was just him and nature. However he wanted to do something more meanigful but he would not get the chance for several decades. During his time as a Messenger he met Aweulf an Elf who would remain his friend until this day. The two shared the same views and wanted to act while the King was not able to invade Du Weldenvarden directley. Both of them shared a love of dragons and they searched every paper they could find to learn all they could about them, this only made the will to meet one even stronger. Asgar Asgar wante to explore the world and he left his position in the Miliatary and went exploring. Traveling alone is dangerous in the empire but to an Elf is all but a Death Wish Asgar wanted to go alone so instead stayed out of the Empire all together.
He first traveled to the Haradac desert. It was staggering that something so large and great could be so deadly. He traveled through it until he met some rouge theives. Three humans attempted to rob him and he killed two of them as the thrid ran for saftey. He wondered if they were Imperial agents but afer reading the mind of the theiv running away he was sure they were not. As he traveled he drew water from the air to drink. He was rather lonley walking alone in the baking sun. When he crossed the desert he found himself in the empire. He used spells to alter his apperance so he would appear to be a human. He came to a medium sized human village. The villagers were just going about their daily buisness, farming, cooking and huntig when a group of soilders attacked them. Asgar fought toe-to-toe with the humans until they were able to repel the attackers. However one of them spotted the Elven sword and called for reinforcments. Soon more soilders were after him. He thought about fighting but he had no idea how many were there and if any wee magicians. So he ran. He was faster than the humans and was soon out of there reach. He knew they would be after him but he was completley lost in the empire. He headed North toward the forest. For a week he traveled until ten soilders caught up to him. He began to fight them and he killed four of them and after the fourth drpped from his horse a group of seven men came to his aid. He soon realzized they were Varden.
They offered him the horse of one of their own who had been killed a week earlier and with the horse he was able to reach Du Weldenvarden in two weeks. When he returned he was greeted by his family. Seeing what the Imperials did to the vilagers he knew something needed to be done. He spent all of his time practsing his magic and swordplay as he did not tire as easy as man he was able to spend days on end fighting imaginary targets. Soon news reached him of Eragon. He was furious that a human had became a rider and not an Elf, not him. He did not meet Eragon and instead stayed in seclusion until he left the forest to fight for the Varden. There was much discusion among the Elves about Eragon. An Elf would be anturally stronger and would progress faster, Why had he been chosen? However all were silenced after the blood oath celebration when he gained the skills and apperance of an Elf. Then he was able to best most Elves in a fight, and Asgar is sure he would be one of them that would be beaten.
Since then the world has changed. When the elves invade the North of the Empire Asgar was at the forefront fighting for the Elves and the free people under the rule of tyranny.
Roleplaying example:
The young Jedi apprentice had advnced in the ranks and the force until he neede his own llightsaber. His Master had given him a traing saber when he was still a padawan and he was not ungrateful as the blade had saved his life many times but he knew if the lightsaber was built by his own feet and the Crystal imbuded by him with the force it will trully be part of him. He had read that a lightsaber was supposed to be an extension of ones body and so far he had not came that far with his own saber.
After a long delibaration with his master he had been deemed ready to search for his own crystal. He had spent many nights deep with in the archives looking for a crystal that he belived was the right on for him.He had came across a certain crystal and i reminded him of what a certain Jedi knight had called him, the light of Malastare. He knew that was the crystal that would be inside his lightsaber. The Crystal was called Solari and could only be found on Sacorria a world in the Core.
He had loaned a ship from the Jedi council and an Astromeric droid R7-G5. The droid was different from most R7 units as it was all black. The droid would fly there ship unless they came into trouble as they crashed the last time. And Sebvula was a terrible pilot. He walked up to the ship. He had no idea what kind of ship it was but he knew it was fast. It was also large with and a second room for passengers much more comfortable than the average ship.
Sebvula wore his Green cloak and stood waiting for his master. The R7 droid standing beside him. He looked round and saw allot of activity. There were people pushing crates into large carries and soldiers mounting there ship. Diplomats landing and taking off and Jedi going of to what could be there final mission. The amount of droid was once again amazing. There were protocol droids and Astromeric droid everywhere. His droid had been given an emotion chip and a sentient chip, as the name suggests, was capable of emotions and sentient thought.
He had left his master a note asking him to meet him in docking bay one in there usual spot. It was difficult to find someone in such a crowd so they always stood in the same part of the docking bay when they wanted to find one another and this time was no different. From were he stood you could look over the entire planet. It was frozen solid but beautiful all the same. On the horizon he could see a large mountain range, which he wanted to climb, and the begging of a large forest.
He took out his lighsaber and ignited it he swung it around to make sure it worked. "Beep. BBep Bbeeo" Said the droid. Sebvula had grew up around droids and understood this he replied. " We are waiting for My Master. A human Jedi Knight named Detrazion."
How did you find us? The Dove brought me.
