[/b] Arwen winced. His grip hurt. She tried twisting her arm away, hiding the pain. You’re really over reacting, Murtagh. I just wanted to spend time with Nayeli! Girl’s night out! His eyes narrowed at her and he let go of her arm. She rubbed it, feeling the pain. Looking up at him, she bit her bottom lip and added, Oh, and I lied because I knew you probably would of let me. Now would be a good time for her to run away. She knew that look. Murtagh looked as if he wanted to hit her. He leaned in close and their faces were inches apart. What are you planning? You lied and now you’re going to get drunk? Arwen, you should of just told me the truth. [/b] He was almost spitting in her face. She was so scared. She didn’t know what to do. She silently, just wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. He was quite surprised as she nuzzled her face into his neck. He froze and Arwen just hugged him even tighter.
He was pacing in his room. Dammit, he knew it wasn’t normal if he did this. With a growl, he quickly grabbed his cloak and ran out the door. Leave it to Arwen to always worry him like this. He just couldn’t trust her being alone like that. She was probably in a bar. Drinking again. He grabbed his horse and kicked it to a gallop, listening to Thorn’s instructions. She was near. He couldn’t see her at all. Murtagh gripped his reins angrily and urged his horse faster. What was so special about Arwen anyways? Why did he want to get soaked in the rain just to find her again? He didn’t understand, but some unknown force was driving him to do so and all he could do is to obey and kick his horse to go faster. A few miles away in a darkly lit house a group had gathered and it wasn’t some sort of party.
Arwen gave a bitter smile while listening to Pylar. Right. As if she didn’t want him to like her. He was a rider and she was basically a princess. Of course she wanted him to love her. She lied to everyone. Arwen could see the truth. That liar had said she just wanted to…train and help the varden out? Nothing to do with Eragon? Ha! She probably did want to help the Varden out, but Arwen was sure that Arya probably wanted Eragon to keep running after her just because then, she would be even more famous. Arwen frowned looking unimpressed by what Pylar had just said. With another bitter smile, she said in a matter of fact tone, Of course that’s what she said. That’s what she always says. When understanding that there probably was a way to communicate with them, but because Pylar was too weak she let out a small smile and said, Well, I’m sure you’ll get better in no time. Afterall, you’re in Nayeli’s care!
After getting the message from Murtagh, she was beginning to pace, looking nervous in slightly insane. Her blue eyes were wide in shock and she was nearly shaking. When the female elf, Andraste, had told her to calm down, she snapped angrily. Calm down? There’s a freaking dragon after me! How the hell am I supposed to CALM DOWN? Her blue eyes were blazing angrily while she had grabbed her cloak and swords. Strapping it on, she felt her nerves beginning to fray. Whipping around, she ordered, We need to get to a bar now. Thorn is only a few miles away and the first place he’ll look is in the bar. Murtagh is riding by horse and will be here in moments! She whipped open the door and with the rain still pouring, she flipped her hood up and got up on her horse quickly. She shouted behind her, trying to get her voice louder than the sound of pouring rain,
Pylar and Andraste! Let’s go! The bar is that way! she kicked her horse and the mare began to gallop. It was a few minutes before arriving. She got her horse tied up quickly and made sure that she was over at a dry spot. Rubbing her hands together, she growled darkly. There was no way to get dry in time! Magic was the only way right now. Closing her eyes, she quickly and quietly spoke.
Brrisingr.
A blue flame appeared in her hands and carefully, she found some hay that was beside the horse and muttered a few incantations before getting them all to stick into a ball of flame. Thank god for dark magic. Waving it around herself quickly, she was dry sooner than she expected. Looking up at the dark sky, she took the ball of flame and beckoned Nayeli and the rest over. Quickly! I’ll do my best to dry you quickly! Thorn’s gonna be here soon! I can feel him. she didn’t even bother telling them how. With a flame in her hand, she muttered something under her breath and got the rest of them dry. Blowing the fire out with her breath, she dropped the ball of hay and threw it into the rest of the haystack.
As soon as she got in, she rushed towards the bartender. Crap. She knew him. Oh well. With angry blue eyes, she ordered in a commanding cold voice, Beer. Two cups now. What the hell are you staring at?! As the bartender left, she saw two men staring at her. She snapped at the men with fury as she pulled up the chair and as soon as the bartender came back, she quickly drank one of them in large gulps. She was pretty aware that Nayeli and the elves were staring at her. She let out a small sheepish smile.
If I make it as if I’m a little drunk, he’ll forgive me easier. going back to her drink, she managed to finish the whole cup in ten whole gulps. She felt like puking, but made sure she didn’t do that. She had quite high alcohol tolerance and to just drink one wouldn’t be enough. I’m going to have to pretend that I’ve drunk like, ten of these. She stared at the group with wide blue eyes. She was almost shaking, but grabbed the bar table to calm herself down. She was going to be alright. Murtagh would never find out. All Arwen needed to do was to STAY CALM. Arwen needed someone. She needed another group. Her eyes caught the group of men who were staring at her earlier. With a bright smile, she jumped off her stool and walking over to a couple of stools, she sat beside them trying to look as calm and sweet as possible.
Hey! Wanna be my friends? the men chuckled and a certain dark eyed boy eyed her with amusement. He was already on his feet and basically checking her out. She made sure that her swords were hidden, of course. Her eyes then flickered back at Nayeli, hoping that the girl would understand what she was doing. Taking a deep breath, she grabbed the other boy and led him towards the group quickly. He had dirty blonde hair and he honestly wasn’t all that bad looking. Perhaps the small pocked marked cheeks were a little bit bad, but that didn’t matter at the moment. She poked him in the gut playfully and with a sly looking smile, she leaned towards him a little bit more generously than she should and asked,
What’s your name, pretty boy? He looked offended for a moment before Arwen flashed him a sweet looking smile. He turned slightly pink before he answered with a deep baritone voice, Charlie. Charlie Hipoleton. Arwen was counting now. Thorn was roaring above them, basically telling Murtagh where they were. Any moment, Murtagh would be ramming through that door now. Three. Charlie was speaking now and glancing over at Nayeli, flashing her smiles while looking back at her, grinning. Two. She was drinking more of her beer, while looking at Charlie’s dark eyes reminding her more and more of Murtagh. Her eyes looked at him, locking on and giving him seductive like smiles. She wanted to flirt with him and she had to. There was no other choice. One. If he got any closer, she was going to puke. He was boring. He was probably a pervert too, judging the way his hand was edging towards her leg. His hand was on her knee too. Flattering, sure. Not exactly what she wanted though.
The wooden door burst open and there stood Murtagh walking slowly towards them with fire in his eyes. She jumped slightly and even Charlie was looking up. Arwen faked a smile and giggled while getting off her stool and making her way towards Murtagh. With as much charm she could possibly create, she said. Murtagh! What are you doing here? Are you here to join me? She was close to him now and she could smell the rain on him. He was glaring hard at him and looking around. His dark grey eyes then landed on Nayeli and to her surprise, he gave a small bow towards them before looking back at her and glaring hard at her. Pursing her lips together, she pretended to look confused. He was leading her away from her group and with those cold and dark eyes of his, he shook her angrily.
You bloody dolt! What the bloody hell are you doing out here?
Sorry, Murtagh. Promise never to do it again. She whispered into his ear and she kissed him on the cheek. He turned slightly pink at how close they were. Sure, they were always close but Arwen looked quite sad this time. He hugged her back and Arwen felt much more relived. He kissed the top of her head and Arwen grinned at him. All was forgiven. She reached back up at him and with a whisper into his ear, she giggled. Nayeli is staring at you, I think. She’s pretty, right? Murtagh’s dark eyes widened slightly. Arwen’s body was very close to his and from a distance; they would of looked like lovers. Her arms were around his neck again, pulling him down to her height. She whispered again into his ear,
Go and greet her! I know the way you look at her. I think she likes you too, since she didn’t say one bad thing about you. He frowned at her, he pulled away from her slightly and murmured, How are you so sure that she likes me? Nobody but you and Thorn truly like me.[/b] Arwen gave him a glare. Running her fingers through his hair, she then continued to whisper, Don’t you start thinking about Claire. She’s gone. This girl is different. Lots of people love you, Murtagh. They like you because of your personality, got it? She hissed the last part out, her cheek touching his cheek as she continued to whisper into his ear. Murtagh’s eyes then looked over at Nayeli and her elves before looking back at Arwen feeling slightly embarrassed.
Arwen…err, don’t you think out position is sort of… she smirked and quietly said, Making her jealous is just the first part of my plan. The next step is you actually doing something. And no, don’t you dare kiss her yet. Just get to know her a little bit more. I’ll be with the elves and..him. She nodded towards the blonde who was now talking to Nayeli about something she knew was probably pointless. Arwen the let go of him and Murtagh could feel the dread on his face as she just forced his head to go towards her. His lips crashed into hers and after a second of that, she pushed him away. He turned cherry red when Arwen licked her lips and smirked up at him. He stuttered,
W-What…?
Arwen rolled her eyes and waved her hand at him. Now, go and do your job. You know what to do. she winked at him while smirking. She walked back towards the group and let out a sigh. She shuddered. Oh, god. I just kissed him. Oh, ew. I think I’m really gonna puke… He smells disgusting… Arwen made it back to the bar table and looked over towards Nayeli where she let out a fake grin. Arwen was trying so hard not to look disgusted at what she had just done. Murtagh had made his way towards the group, looking completely bewildered. She nudged the other girl whispering,
Make your move now. You know what I’m talking about. She smirked at Nayeli before facing Charlie again, trying desperately not to punch him. That boy was annoying as hell and it took every fiber in her body not to smack him down and beat the living crap out of him. So, in the sweetest and most flirtatious voice she could possibly manage, she asked.
So...Charlie? Mind if you take your hand off my thigh before I break your fingers? Thanks.
While Murtagh had manged out some sound by greeting the other dark haired girl with brilliant blue eyes. We meet again, Lady Nayeli. Has Arwen been treating you..err...badly?[/b]
