(( For the players: Angmor, Elanzaros, Tasalae, and Ezhdeha to RP in, along with myself. All who wish to apply to join, do so during this early set up, in the thread "RP idea in Lithgow". ))
** Season: Spring **
*As the transport pulled up to the river docks in Lithgow, all was going well. All was well on their aproach and their landing and their journey. All was well, except in the mind of the second in command for this mission, Daran Vorandeer.
Daran thought on the mission so far. It was fairly straight forward. The small force of Imperial Commandos were to infiltrate Lithgow, perform Recon, and then take the town and it's factories as quietly as possible. The plan was good, but the leader was not. The leader of this mission did not bode well with Daran, who was usually able to follow most commanders, but who was extremely wary of the leader.
The leader was a Shade.
Daran had had to keep his mind carefully shielded through the technique most non-magic users used the entire trip. I have been controlled by magical means before... I refuse to be controlled by such manners by this... Abomination...
Daran entertains the thought momentarily, then discards it as if it were some useless trinket. He knew that there was no way that he could kill this Shade. The only slayers of Shades in history were Riders, and Daran had no illusions of being one. Daran was slightly distressed at the fact that he could change nothing, but put it out of his mind.
The begining had gone as planned so far, which also slightly worried Daran. They had set up and executed the perfect ambush on the Varden transporters with dispatches for the supplies needed. They took this very ship and the dispatches on it and were now using it as their cover. As Daran turned to his comrades, he was impressed, but also wondered if they could take what was going to come.
He then moves among them, assuring that they had prepared fully, as he had. He finds that they were appropriately prepped, and his spirits rose slightly. A good Omen.
Daran looks around and finds the new captain of this ship, then calls out*
All ready for docking, Captain...
