Dragons are only available through the Destiny Boards.
Name: Jekarta
Age: Little baby -petpet-
Race: Dragon
Appearance: [I’ll give you hatchling and full grown sort of together.]
As a newly hatched dragon, Jekarta was admittedly unimpressed with herself. Tails of ferocity and abounding power surrounded dragons, and here she stood, lingering around her rider’s ankles. She would stare up at him with giant golden eyes that reflected the same color as he scares in a darker shade. Glaedr, the old and wise dragon who had so recently passed shared a color with her but a shade that was different. While his had been a deep, dark, and rich shade of gold; Jekarta’s reflected back lighter, flashing in the light like the tips of white hot flames. The pale gold suited her. Besides, she knew there was no changing it. She would proudly wear it. In later times, when she breathed fire, the edges would dance with the pale gold color. Her magic was illuminated with it and hardly by accident, her rider bore it in his actions. The spells he cast lit with the golden color and his words dance with it, weaving together like they were never meant to be apartGre.
As a hatchling, she would find herself borderline disproportional, but then again she was the harshest of judges. Her wings could not even dream of supporting her, and he neck was thick, meant to support her head. She was still a baby, that head of hers was most important. Without it… well she wasn’t really Jekarta anymore. She had been clumsy to begin with. Most were. She had stumbled to gain proper usage of her feet and quickly learned the proper way to walk so he claws didn’t dig into the ground beneath her and send her tripping. With time would come development. It was never ceased to amaze Za’lyyr that she seemed so perfectly matched to him. Like the elf, Jekarta was lithe. Her frame ran thinner than some but was built for speed and agility over brute strength. Where others were hulking and impressively large, she was quick and maneuverable. When her wing extended, it was like they cast a blanket of stars. The webbing could be seen through to a certain degree but carried a strange shimmering that was inherent of her golden color. She would shepherd her rider beneath those wings and keep him safe, in return for the time he would spend guarding her as she grew and learned.
Jekarta would grow to her potential. Long, curving neck to an angular head that watched her surroundings from behind golden eyes. A long tail that would gently usher her rider towards her, and at another moment, smash walls to pieces. Her nails curved, retracting some in and out according the pressure she placed on them. Great wings would lift her from the ground and bright white teeth would snap at any threat. She was a dragon. She shimmered in pale gold.
She was a dragon.
Personality and History:
Jekarta has an odd mix between serious and joking. Quite often, people will find themselves unsure if she’s upset or just playing. Her humor is dry and at times scathing. Probably because she has little to no care about what anyone thinks of her. She is a proud creature, one who didn’t deviate in her thinking according to the whims of others. The only one that meant anything to her was her rider and the men he respected. Those were the people worth caring about. Those were the people who mattered. No one else did.
She would prove to be more so like her rider than anyone else. She bore little affection for anyone but Za’lyyr and would be content to tease him as they flew or comment on his inability to communicate in a nice way. They fit together perfectly. She was unafraid to toy with him and he would accept it. He loved her too much to be angry. And she loved him too much not to. They were dragon and rider. They were one.
She called it being self-assured. Others would call it arrogance. She took after her rider there too, but hers seemed deep seeded, it came with her age. Jekarta had no idea of what had happened outside that egg of hers, her mind had been cut off from everything, wrapped around itself to keep herself from harm. She had never ventured out of it until that late night, when fingers brushed her shell and sent a trill down her spine. His mind was hard and solid, he felt strong, he felt right. Before, the fingers against her had felt like nothing much more than an annoyance, like a dull prod in the side of her head. It had been nothing like that with Za’lyyr. She’d wanted nothing more than to curl up beneath his arm and soak into his feel. He felt like home, or what she assumed was home. She didn’t know about anything outside him. The moment they connected, he offered her his entire mind. All of his memories and everything he had seen, everything he’d done.
And she understood.
