Name:
Avinash Rajnish
pronounced AV-in-ash raj-nish
Age:
Forty seven, but he appears twenty one-twoish.
Race:
Half-Elven, from his father side
Appearance:
Personality:
Avin is basically a lost soul. He is quiet, spontaneous, and just wants to live life like a normal guy. He knows how to be a friend even though he doesn't have too many. He doesn't like hurting people unless it is what he has to do to finish his given task. Avinash normally doesn't talk about others badly behind they're back, unless it really needs to be said. He can be caring and compassionate, but he tends to hide that side of him--after all, caring and compassionate are not really the kind of traits expected from someone trained to be a spy.
History:
His story started from fifty one years ago, with the usual boy-meet-girl kind of thing.
It was in a rare warm day in Winter when a young human maiden went to the market with her sisters and caught the attention of a handsome, young elven warrior. They fell in love that instant and since then, once every several months the male elf will came to the village to see the young maiden from afar. It took two years of silent fleeting glances and exchanged shy smile until the two finally had chance to speak with one another. Every full moon they would meet under the bridge and held each other, like how lovers embrace their partner. This continued until the parents of the young maiden found out about their relationship and considered this a scandal, since they had promised her hand to a rich farmer from another village. The two lovers were forcefully separated, but the young maiden was now carrying the elf's child.
Exiled from the village, the young woman gave birth of her son in her little hut deep inside the forest; there she gave birth to her son, who was named after his elven father. Avinash had almost normal childhood till he was eight, when he was kidnapped from his hut where he lived with his mother and taken to place far, far away. His magical powers were quickly recognized and he was soon taken to be part of the Black Hand, the elite group of magicians and spies who were trained by Galbatorix personally. He had spent years in training and when he is forty seven, he has already mastered his powers as well as the art of archery. His faithful companion, a gray falcon, was given to him when he was accepted into the rank and act as mean of communication--it is often the notice to his missions brought by this vulture.
At the moment he is free from any missions and now living with his old mother in his house in Teirm, a city which she insisted will be a place where his long lost father will reunite with her again one day. She spends most of her time sitting by the window that facing the harbor in high hope that she will see her elf lover again.

Gaspard read and re-read his letter for the forty third times since he received his order. It was two weeks after the Pope was shot, one and half week after the meeting where all of the Templar Knights retook their vows. Gaspard had been one of the first who did, his faith for the Order was never once faltered, but he must admit he didn't expect this at all. When he first broke the seal that bind the scroll, and then read the name written there, he thought he was mistaken. Obviously he was not.
How a man who was supposed to be dead two years ago was still alive, even now turning his back against the side he once uphold, was way beyond his comprehension. But a mission was still a mission, whether or not he understood the motive behind the target's decision. And that was exactly why he was here, sitting inside a cafe just a block away from Vicolo del Cinque apartment building, waiting for Dame Matthews to join him for an ambush. As their letter mentioned, this Witch had to be taken with extreme caution... in his opinion it was more because he was once their own brother at arms than because he was a member of a radical coven, since both of him and Sabrina Matthews already proven capable enough for this kind of mission.
He could still remember how he again lied to his wife as she asked if he will come home for dinner. She didn't know about the lifestyle he had been living since ages, didn't know he was slaying people for the Church. All she knew her husband was a successful vintner that was promoting the new product to a client in Italy. She told him their baby daughter missed him and he could only promised her he will try to return as soon as he could... What if he was to die today? He knew he should never regret it, for if a Knight to die, they die for the glory of God, but would he really? He had a loving wife and a sweet daughter, he will never see her grow up, or be around for them when they needed him...
The Under Marshal shook his head as he sipped his coffee, his dark eyes continued scanning the crowds trying to see if Sabrina was there already while his other hand slipped underneath his coat, his fingertips brushed against something metallic there. His guns, both with the Templar's red cross insignia engraved on the sheaths... he was ready for the ambush and he could only hope Dame Matthews would be ready too. As soon as she came they will go to the apartment building, pretending to be an American couple looking for a place to spend their Summer holiday at the center of the Ancient Rome--he could only hoped his German accent won't be showing too much, he had been learning to speak in American accent for a few days by now and he did not want to ruin the whole mission because he didn't sound American enough.
