So, I was talking about the site yesterday with a really good friend of mine and we got to plotting. This is what we came up with, but I think it might have a major affect on the outcomes of the site-wide plot. Just wanted to get some member and staff opinions of it.
Background - Rhunon is the elvin swordssmith in Ellesmera who's forged all of the great Dragon Riders' blades - She uses an extra-special metal known as Brightsteel to forge the blades; it's gathered from meteor fragments that she finds in Du Weldenvarden - After Galbatorix rose to power, she realised that he would never have been able to commit such terrible crimes without the weapons she'd forged so she swore an oath never to forge another blade - SPOILER WARNING (highlight to see) :: When Eragon returns to Ellesmera in Brisingr to complete his training with Oromis, he asks Rhunon to forge him a proper Rider's blade. For some reason she agrees, but only if he can bring her a large-enough piece of Brightsteel ore. She doesn't think that he could possibly find any (she thinks she's picked the forest clean of the ore), but Eragon succeeds at extracting the ore from beneath the roots of the Menoa tree. Controling him through his mind, Rhunon forges the blade with Eragon's hands and Saphira's flames. Working this way, she creates the blade Brisingr without going against her oath.
The Purposed Plot - This plot requires that Rhunon has been training three apprentices in the art of Brightsteel forgery - The apprentices are 3 elves (two would be open for other people to take, because i'd taking one) and Rhunon declares them masters not long after Eragon's visit to Ellesmera - In search of more Brightsteel for their craft, the apprentices leave Du Weldenvarden - The three have never left the forest and are quickly seperated in their search for the Brightsteel scattered across the continent - Upon discovering the existance of the newest Dragon Riders, the apprentices realise that they will be responsible for forging blades for the new Riders - One of the apprentices ends up in the Varden, one in the Empire and one continues to search out more Brightsteel and to forge blades for the Free Riders (if there are any on the site xD)
Characters Involved Rhunon - female elf - master swordssmith unnamed - elf - Rhunon's apprentice (reserved for Alm) unnamed - elf - Rhunon's apprentice (reserved for Crim) unnamed - elf - Rhunon's apprentice
What do you guys think about the plot? Any suggestions to improve it? Issues that need to be addressed?

Sure thing, Crim! I just want to make sure that Angmor is alright with the plot idea before people start roleplaying the characters since the plot has the capability to change the direction of the site-wide plot.

Hmmm...
I know that anyone who knows me fears this next statement almost as much as the apocalypse, but... I'm going to need to think about this for a while.

Thanks for reading it, Ang!
While you're still considering, keep in mind that nothing written there is "concrete" - I'm open to change. :D
