Hair pulled back, dark clothes covering her body, and her guard up, Ellemere meandered through the city of Gil'ead with a great unease in her step. Hellgrind was not a fun place to end up and she certainly wasn't letting her guard down with the setting sun. She ran into several people but kept up the hood on her cloak until she entered a house and gaped. The person she was supposed to see was gone and the house was ransacked. "Ra'zaac." she muttered shortly groaning. "Looks like I came here for nothing." She walked out of the house, closing the door behing her, and slammed straight into someone in front of her, her hood getting thrown back as she fell on her rear in embarrassment. "Terribly sorry! Friend went missing, guess I didn't watch my step." She stood up and brushed herself off then noticed her ears were showing and pulled up her hood.

SOMETIMES I FIND IT HARD• to believe there's someone else who could be •JUST AS MESSED UP AS ME Why exactly was Arwen here in the first place again? Right. She was sent to assassinate someone. Again. Why did Galby have so many damn enemies? Right, it's because he was so...evil. The girl shook her head while walking down the streets. People were staring at her, and she didn't quite give a damn. Her blue eyes flickered towards a group of men approaching her. With a light smile, she unsheathed her dual swords and then they all came at her. With a few kicks and stabs, she managed to kill them. All of them.
Walking over towards the man who was cowering over at a corner, she helped him up gently before using her dagger that was up her sleeve to kill him softly. She whispered into his ear,
My job is now done. You were stupid to go against the King in that manner. He gave a gasp before going to dead weight. Pushing the man off, she wiped the bloodied blade on his clothes and began to search his body for money and other useful things. People were murmuring and she looked up and glared at all of them. They scattered and continued to talk in low tones. Finding some money out of all of the dead bodies, she slipped them into her own pocket and began to walk away. Sheathing her swords, she jumped onto some wooden boxes and began to run across the roofs. She finally jumped down and was about to head towards one of the houses before slamming right into someone.
Falling down, she winced and looked up. The girl was upset. She looked red and even though she was wearing a hood, Arwen had seen her face. The girl was shy. Well, she looked as if she was. Getting up she muttered, Ow. That hurt... damn..
Arwen then took a closer look at the girl. Um, excuse me? Are you alright? She dared not to touch the girl. Looking down at her dark shirt, she thanked god that she didn't have any bloodstains on her. The girl searched her pockets and found a handkerchief in her left pocket. She offered it to the girl with a small smile.
Here. Er...What happened to your friend? Arwen took a peek over the girl's shoulder and her face nearly fell. Keeping the blank looking feature on her face, she tried not to run away. She had been the one that had sent some Ra'zaac over to capture her 'friend'. Shit. Well, perhaps she could place the blame on someone else. Forcing a smile, she tried to look merry.
Well, you know...your friend might of been out when his house was...err..turned over.

"I'm an elf. I never mistake the smell of death around a place like this with Helgrind looming over the city. I was sent here to retrieve something very important and that person was the only one trustworthy enough to hand it over." She rubbed her ear nervously and straightened up. "The city itself is pretty in the daylight but that THING dims this place." She looked at the girl and blinked. "And your name would be what exactly? The way you dress I assume you work for the king himself. In which case you are an interesting person to run into in Dras-Leona." She hid her ears under her hair and smiled a bit. "So...Can I get a tour around the city? I sort of got lost wandering around here."

SOMETIMES I FIND IT HARD• to believe there's someone else who could be •JUST AS MESSED UP AS ME Arwen stared at the girl. A elf, huh? So, she was one of those girls who looked perfect and acted perfect? Well, she looked nice but Arwen wasn't so trusting. Giving the girl a smile, she said,
An elf, eh? Well, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Arwen, by the way. What's yours? She gave a small bow. The girl knew how to speak ancient language, but refused to do so. Arwen didn't like speaking her native language. Well, sort of native. She was part elf and having to speak elvish wasn't exactly something she enjoyed as much for some funny reason. Many would die to learn how to speak the language. While Arwen was forced to learn how to speak, she still hated the language. Blinking at the girl, she noticed how much she talked and how she observed things.
Thing? What thing? she tried sounding confused. Looking down at her clothing, she grimaced. How the hell did she know she, Arwen, worked for the king? Oh. Right. Workers for the king usually dressed in black. Besides, she had a pair of dual swords on her back. That would also contribute to why the girl had thought so. An idea then popped into her mind. So, if she knew she was working for the king...then why was she still talking to her? Why would anyone want to be friends with someone who worked for the king?
Yeah. I work with the King. What's so interesting about me, anyways? Curious, Arwen was. Arwen wanted to know what was so interesting about her? Was it because she looked so human, yet moved like an elf? In that case, she was quite interesting. Otherwise, Arwen didn't know what was so interesting about her. What Arwen found interesting was that this elf was brave enough to even travel all the way to the Empire to meet a friend.
Aren't you a least bit worried that I'm going to take you in to the king? I mean, I do work or the king, remember? Raising a brow she shuffled from foot to foot like a guy. She had been hanging around guys way too long and was starting to act a bit more like a guy which wasn't exactly good for Arwen. Biting back a small laugh, she added,
Er...sure. Where exactly did you want to tour? I mean, this town isn't exactly...exciting. Nor is it interesting at all.

"Helgrind. That thing. As for taking me to the king, go ahead. I don't really have a set 'side' at the moment. M'name's Ellemere." She pulled a glove over her Isidar tattoo and crossed her arms. "If you're inclined to take me to Uru'Baen then go right ahead I see no point in making a scene." She walked down the street and looked around. "Always dreamed of being a Rider too." she murmured. She looked at Arwen and smiled. "Anything you do for fun? Most fun I can think of is scaling the Tel'Naer Crags."

SOMETIMES I FIND IT HARD• to believe there's someone else who could be •JUST AS MESSED UP AS ME Arwen gave a shrug before she smiled at the girl. No. I'm not going to take you to the king. Don't worry. I'll spare you from listening to that old man make some sort of stupid speech against elves. She rubbed the back of her neck before placing a hand on her hip. Her blue eyes watched the other girl carefully before adding, Oh, don't worry. If I were to take you in, there wouldn't have to be a scene at all.
Arwen grinned before giving a small chuckle. The king hated elves and she knew that he hated her. He only found her interesting because she had clearly said that she was different than the rest of the elves. That's what had made her special. She was magical, strong and most of all...determined. The king liked that about her. Technically, she should be upset nd angry, but sometimes that just made her lightly cheerful. I mean, why would you feel bad if someone thought well of you? She paused for a moment for she was about to guide the other girl over towards another part of the village.
A rider, you say? Why on earth would you want to be a Rider? I mean, you'll have alot of responsibility to carry.... Arwen knew quite alot about things like that, for she understood what it meant to have a dragon. Since Eragon, her almost kinda brother and her best friend Murtagh both had dragons and they were both riders. She knew quite alot of what went on in the whole Rider and Dragon relationship. Hell, she wanted a dragon too, but that meant sacrificing her mind. Her privacy, shown to another person. A dragon who would be always sharing her feelings and thoughts. Arwen wasn't sure if she exactly wanted that in her life.
The dark haired girl then looked thoughtful. Fun? What was fun in this place? Killing was fun for her. It was exhilarating. Then again, this was an elf we were talking about. Elves didn't enjoy killing. She had an urge to roll her eyes before taking control of her emotions.
Something fun? What sort of fun do you want? Rooftop jumping? Killing random perverts? What sort of fun do you expect to have in this town? To be truthful, I find this place dreadfully boring. I can't even leave the Empire or the King will have my head. Arwen said glumly with a look of disgust on her face.

She sort of shrugged. "I came here hoping to find something to do. Or maybe just something to occupy my time. I'm a wanderer and my feet sort of brought me here of their own accord. It's why I asked to see the king. I was hoping for a little excitement and maybe a chance to have an interesting conversation." She saw Helgrind and a spark flashed in her eye. "Hmm...Storm Helgrind and massacre a bunch of Ra'zaac, or risk a lethal encounter with the king himself...The king it is!" She turned on her heel and started off for Uru'Baen with her shoulders squared. "Arwen you coming with me or am I still traveling alone?" She looked back over her shoulder and smiled. "Well?" Her thoughts started racing and she swallowed any fear she might have had before walking again.

SOMETIMES I FIND IT HARD• to believe there's someone else who could be •JUST AS MESSED UP AS ME Arwen stared at her with disbelief. Was she asking for some sort of deathwish? Arwen wanted to grab the girl shake her. Sure, the girl was an elf, but weren't elves supposed to be smart? This one sure wasn't. Arwen gave a sigh, looking tired already. This girl was a handful. Alright, she wasn't too bad, right? No. She was terrible. Worse than Eragon who was already quite annoying when it came down to what he wanted. Arwen remembered when she was a child with Eragon and when he wanted some candy, he would bug her so much until she gave it up. Rolling her eyes at that thought, she grabbed the elf by the arm and tugged her towards a more secluded area.
Alright, Elle. Going to the king is NOT fun. Rather, I am not letting you go to the king. Instead, let's have some fun and kill something. Or someone. Let's go with that plan on attacking...what's it called? Storm something. Yeah. That one. She struggled to remember before beaming at the idea. That was a hell lot better than meeting with the king. Grabbing the elf by the shoulders, she shook the elf.
I'm going to get into a whole lot of trouble, but hell with it. We're fighting something instead of going to that old man, got it? She paused for a moment before looking straight into the other elf's eyes. You're an elf, correct? Think like one, then! You're thinking like... Arwen struggled for the word.
Like...a child!

She kept walking, simply dragging Arwen on her arm. "I am set in my decision and I don't care if I drag you to his THRONE." She knew by now this was making a rather untasteful scene but it didn't bother her so long as nobody who knew her happened to see her. She sighed and looked back as she walked. "Arwen you are making a rather unpleasant scene." Her cloak had started to get annoying so she stuffed it in her pack and kept moving, despite the looks from the people around her. She yanked her arm and looked down from a six inch height advantage at Arwen. "Ready to walk on your own little missy? Or will I drag you to your liege?" She groaned and lifted Arwen onto her back. "I could use the exercise and dragging you will sooner dislocate my arm more than anything so just hold still and enjoy getting a ride."

SOMETIMES I FIND IT HARD• to believe there's someone else who could be •JUST AS MESSED UP AS ME Bloody hell, Elle! You're... Arwen stuttered, trying to keep her hold on the elf. Damn, the girl was strong. How old was she anyways? Arwen struggled to pin the other girl down. With a yelp, she found herself getting dragged. How...disgraceful. Arwen gave a frown before trying to trip the girl with a foot. When that didn't seem to work, Arwen began to think of different ideas.
This normally did not happen to Arwen for she was a girl who was smart enough not to anger the king. Merlin, if he was going to be angry at this elf, she would surely be the one that would have to kill her. Gulping, she shouted, ELLE! BE REASONABLE! YOU CAN'T JUST DO THIS WITHOUT...AN APPOINTMENT! BESIDES! THE..UM. THE KING ISN'T HERE! HE'S OUT! Arwen was lying and she looked as if she was begging. Her blue eyes looked wild while, she desperately tried to hold the other girl back. Letting her go, she folded her arms and pouted,
Face it, Elle. The king isn't gonna be there when you get to the castle. Only I know where he is! She lifted her chin up, looking upset. The girl always knew she was good at acting. Now to put her skills to the test. She knew this was all too messed up and to make things right, she needed this foolishness to stop.
C'mon Elle! Let's just go and..err...shop! I hear there's a nice shop down the corner! You might even get some new things there.

"GET OUT AND STAY OUT, YOU BARBARIAN!" A large, tartan-clad bundle fell out of the doorway of the tavern next to the two ladies. Underneath a blue cap with several eagle feathers, a gleaming copper mess of hair and beard could be seen, glaring balefully at the door.
"Téigh bás a fháil agus a itheann madraí, leathcheann!" The preliminaries disposed of, the mass of dark gray tartan, glared up at the two ladies and spoke, sounding like nothing more in the world but a softly growling dog.
"Hello, lassies. Hold on a moment, and I'll give ye my name." He slowly stood, stretching all the while. Gold inside his sporran jingled merrily, while he brushed off his gray shirt. He stroked his beard for a moment, then finally decided that he could let them know his full name. Doffing his blue cap that had some extra material hanging over the side, he spoke.
"Convel MacTire, future Earl of Eilean Donan, future Duke of Kintail, Seventh in line for High King of Alba, at your service, ladies." Convel had left his targe, claymore, and chain mail in Aberon with his men for several months, while scouted the Empire for a mountain to lay claim to and settle. He glanced down at his sword and dirk and decided to offer to go with them, wherever they were going.
"Ladies such as yourselves should nae be traveling alone. Should ye decide ye need a strong pair of hands or a braw sword, I'll be standing here trying not to become drunk. Although, my Da always told me ye were nae drunk if ye could find your arse with both hands. Which I think I can do for a while longer."

"Well, well, well, if it isn't Convel!" This got her attention VERY quickly as Convel was one of her few friends. "Just get thrown out of a bar I take it?" she asked with a smile. "Recognize me from the Crags?" She did her shy face. "E-E-Ellemere's m'name." Since she'd put Arwen down she straightened up and smiled wider. "Wasn't expecting to see you again so soon but it's certainly a pleasant surprise! As for traveling, Arwen refuses to let me get to Uru'Baen to see the king. If you want to go then it'd make things a lot more interesting." She looked up and then looked at Arwen. "You don't mind an Alban wandering about with us do you little missy? No scratch that, a half-drunk Alban that I trust enough to drink whiskey with in my spare time."

SOMETIMES I FIND IT HARD• to believe there's someone else who could be •JUST AS MESSED UP AS ME She dropped down on the ground with a thud. Wincing, she got up slowly and looked at the newcomer. With a small bow, she said, It's a pleasure meeting you. Er..Convel, is it? She sweatdropped when she watched the man look quite drunk and speak so...funnily. Perhaps it was just an accent he had when he was drunk? Maybe not. With a nervous smile, she said. Well, I'm sure we would be fine without a body gaurd-- she was cut off with Elle saying something along the lines of 'he's coming with us. That's final.' Arwen felt like crawling into a hole and hiding. It had been a while since she felt this tired and dead. With a sigh, she repeated,
Elle! I told you. The king is out. He's not in the castle today. Another lie and yet she was still alive. Arwen even wondered how the hell she managed to survive so far. With a defeated sigh, she said, Yes, I do not mind if he travels with us...although I still find that this idea of yours is bloody insane. It's mad! She yelped with a wild look in her eyes. Looking at the other man, she shouted without that calm look on her face that she usually had. Tell her that she's bloody mad! She can't just go to the king like this! You're her friend, aren't you? Stop her from going! Arwen had walked up to the man and had taken him by the shoulders and shook him hard. Her fists were tightly around his clothes and he smelled gross. Arwen let him go, flinging him away from her, a look of annoyance on her face. With a tired sigh, she looked up at the sky and asked in her mind on why god was tormenting her like this.
Just don't get drunk along the way. She rubbed her eyes, feeling the tired. The feeling of fatigue swept over her when she explained loudly,
THE KING WILL KILL YOU. DO YOU SERIOUSLY WANT TO DIE THAT BADLY?!?!
It was clear that Arwen had lost it.

"Och, weel, I suppose it is me. I recognize ye! You're the wee elf lass what shared whiskey with my soldiers and I. I'm verra glad to meet ye. . A king, ye say? Weel, as long as the auld bugger does nae try tae get me tae show him the Hie'land sword dance, I'm fine with it." Convel put his cap back on, with the eagle feathers waving jauntily in the air. His brown leather sporran settled over his kilt, leaving him an image of barbaric splendor. Convel reached into for a moment, digging and grasping, when he come up with an apple. He took a bite and chewed thoughtfully, thinking of how to make the best time to the capital of the Empire, Uru'Baen.
"Seems tae me, that if we leave now, we can make it tae the river in between here and the capital in about a week, seeing as how ye are nae men, and there-fore unaccustomed to riding Hell-bent for leather, with a regiment of dragoons or cavalry on your trail. No, taking our time would be doable. I'll go purchase some supplies, hmm? Meet me at the Growling Wolf in oh, say three hours from now, with your horses, if ye have them." Convel turned to leave, muttering under his breath a list of necessary supplies. "Whiskey, bacon, bread, salted beef, dried apples, potatoes, salt, some spices, a pack horse and tack for said pack horse....."
