OOC::: Before you read, I want you to know that I am aware that I am being quick about trying to get a dragon. I understand that I may not get one my first try. Please tell me everything you that is wrong.
[/blockquote]It had only been days since their arrival to the Surda Capital, people had been kind to them since their arrival and now here she was riding down the walkway on her black Frisian Stallion. Her wound had healed up nicely, in fact, it was much better now. The scar was there though, in fact, it would always be there. What ever those men hit her with or sliced her with was nice and sharp and she wanted to find out what had gone into her three inches. She moved with her horse, her black cloak was tied at her neck and covered her shoulders. She wore her brown Tunic, which had been stitched up. It was skin tight to her form and curved with her beautifully. Her pants were also skin tight, flaring out at her knees and then going over her brown boots. The hood of her cloak was on her back. Her hands were covered with brown gloves, which she had stored away when she met Elaniver and then till the night in which they arrived here. She wore her daggers on her hips, one on either side, and her sword was on her right. She had left her bow and quiver of arrows where Elaniver and herself had made a place of residents and now she came here, in hopes that maybe she could become a dragon rider. She was not sure if Elaniver was going to try and get a dragon, but it would be amazing if they both had a dragon and egg. She smiled at the thought, but it vanished as she saw the doors guarded by two soldiers of the Varden. She took in a breath and halted her horse, pulling it to the side and tying him to something before she walked forward.
"Halt! Why do you come here?" His voice was strong and steady, showing no fear as he looked into her steel blue eyes that she had hidden all her emotion behind with a steel boarder. She looked them other taking in how they both looked. The one who spoke was a tall man, very bulky with muscle and protected by armor that was well shinned. She held a sword that at the moment was hidden in it's sheath. His hair was hidden under his armored cap, but, she could see some brown hair snicking out from under the cap. His eyes were a dark brown color and he was rather handsome, but even she knew that he was nothing compared to Elaniver, which was making her get off the subject of going over the man. She then looked at the other, a much young man, smaller, but rather the same as the other in armor. He held blue eyes and red hair under his helm, he did not have a sword, but a spear which he held. She looked at the two back and forth, taking in a breath and looking at them with a strong gaze.
"I am Autumn, newcomer to the Varden, but I come to request permission to enter and try and get a egg to hatch for me so I might become the next rider," Autumn blond hair was once again braided down her back and hit the small of her back. Her steel eyes moved with ease over the two and waited for a response. The two looked at each other, wondering if maybe she did something wrong. She looked around and then back at the men who were looking at each other and then nodded. The large man stepped forward and then looked her dead in the eye and took in a breath.
"I am Paul, Guarder of the eggs for this hour, You must swear to the Varden that you will not go against us if the Egg hatches for you..." He continued and Autumn swore to them that she agreed to everything. They both nodded again and then the large guy opened the large door for her. She gave a smile, but it was a small smile compared to anything. She entered, the lanterns made the walls glow and then the eggs came into her sight. Many were before her, different colors and beautiful as they glimmered in the dim lights. The eggs seemed to be calling her and in the center was a orb that seemed to glow, to be alive, but it did not speak and it did not seemed to be like anything she had seen that was alive. She walked forward, the sound of her boots on the rock making a thumping sound as she took each step. She looked at each and then spotted one she liked, one that seemed to be beautiful in all shapes and form. She knelt down before it, her eyes scanning over the others, as if scared to do something wrong and damage the others.
The dragon egg was beautiful, it was a sky blue that glimmered and looked like a cloud in the sky. It was beautiful and held a wonderful color in it. Her hand moved over it, feeling the smooth egg as she seemed to just feel the presents of the egg and herself. She could feel the beautiful dragon inside was alive and it was wonderful to feel. She wanted to be this dragon's riders and she could only hope that this dragon wanted her as it's rider. The egg was like a jewel, beautiful in all forms and shapes. She was falling in love with this egg and she wanted it to be her's, so she could raise it and it could be like her brother or sister. She had only seen a glimpse of Eragon as they had left on a ride, and she seemed to know they held a wonderful relationship.
She heard nothing for the moment as she picked the egg of and set it on her lap, letting her warm hands travel over the cold stone like egg. She felt over the egg gently, moving nothing but her hand as she cradled it like a child. She looked it, the pale blue color egg was like a pearl found in the river she had found when she was just a child. She could remember her mother being so happy when she brought it to her, but then sadness fell over her as it had only been days before her mother died of her sickness. For the first time in weeks, tears filled her eyes and she allowed herself to cry for just a moment. She knew that she would spend as much time as they would allow looking at this one egg that seemed to have captured her with a invisible rope and now she had been placed in a bind that she was not going to be able to get out. As she held it, she wished it would hatch now, but she was not sure if the egg would hatch now or later.
It moved. As if answer the question she had been waiting to see answered. She looked it, placing it down a little, so it could hatch and have room. She felt the dragon inside it moved and then saw a dent from the inside be made. She watched with amazement as the light colored egg became nothing but piece of shell. The dragon inside was now before her, looking around the room and then her light blue eyes, in fact, the same color blue that Autumn's eyes were. She was amazed at how this beautiful dragon was looking at her, as if into her soul. She put her hand out, hoping for a chance to touch this beautiful dragon child. As her hand came up, the baby moved back, but then sniffed her hand before touching it.
It was like a dagger going through her hand as she felt the touch. She crumpled to the floor, feeling nothing but her hand before she went blank. She saw her life go through her eye, but right now, as she dreamed about everything, it stopped on Elaniver, his smile, his dark eyes, his body, then the pale blue dragon that had come from the egg she had picked up, just thinking it would sit there still like.
Her eyes opened and she looked at the top of the cavern. She pulled up her hand, which felt fine now. It held a silver like thing across her palm and she looked at it weird before she felt something move on her side. She looked and the light blue dragon was sleeping be her side, between her arm and stomach with it's head laying on her stomach. She smiled at it just as it woke and looked at her.
"Do you like to cause trouble when you first hatch little one?" She asked with a smile before she set up and crossed her legs, the dragon climbing in her lap and looking into her steel eyes. Autumn looked back into her eyes. She knew that she would not have to hid it unless she was told so, for she was in Surda, where the Varden would protect the two of them until Autumn and the little dragon could protect the Varden with their help. She looked around the cavern, still seeing the eggs and then also the orb that was watching high above them. She still wanted to know what it was, but she figured she would never know or she would not know for a long, long time. She looked back at the dragon and smiled at it before she stood and held the dragon in her arms. "Let go, I don't think they want use to stay here forever." The dragon seemed to smile at her and she turned and headed out. She knocked on the door and it opened, showing the same two men who had a look of amazement on their face.
"Shur'tugal," She was confused by the words they spoke, but she just shrugged it off and moved past them. She headed to her stallion, who back from his place wanting to run. She calmed him and mounted him, the dragon she placed on the saddle with her and then turned him around and headed back to the entrance.
