Name: Aurora (unknown last name)
Age: 32 years (but looks 20)
Race: Half Elf/Half Human
Appearance:
Aurora is, what many call a beauty, most likely because of the elf in her. Her body is fairly tall for a woman, standing at 5'7. She is slim, but not overly thin. She is flat bellied and very tone for she is always outside and very active. Her legs are strong and muscular and her arms show that she handles the weight of a sword regularly. Her skin is fair and soft, yet even with her constantly in the sun, it remains like ivory, with only the smallest hint of a tan. Her eyes are a dark green, but you can only tell they are green in some lights, they often look hazel. Her eyes are big and oval, eyebrows dark and thin, perfectly shaped. Her lips are big and luscious, with the two V-shaped curves right under her nose. They remain a slightly darker red then the norm, as if she was wearing lipstick, although she rarely puts it on. Aurora's hair is black as night with a shine in the moonlight. She almost always wears it down and it falls past her shoulders, wavy and near curling. It is big and full, and surrounds her face.
Her attire is usually ready to be active, pants and leggings that are almost always black. They are tight against her skin for free movement, however it shows every curve of her female figure. Her top is a loose flowing v-neck shirt, with a tighter half leather vest over it. She always wears black boots with the smallest heel, very classy. She has a pair of black leather gloves either on her hands, or tucked into her belt ready to be pulled to use at a moments notice.
Personality: Aurora is a woman who takes things into her own hands. Many have said she is like a fierce stallion, refusing any saddle or bridle. She walks with pride and authority, yet has no problem being under command or taking orders from someone of higher status She likes to always be informed on the goings on in the Varden and the movements of Galbatorix. She has a strong sense of right and wrong, which is why she rode to the Varden and has since then dedicated her life to freeing the people from Galbatorix's hold. She can anger if pushed to the limit, but mostly she holds in her anger and keeps it within herself. When angered she is a force to be reckoned with.
She has a kind yet fiery heart. She will run to the aid to anyone who is in need, even if that means it puts her in danger. She has a strong motherly instinct although she is not ready to have children of her own. She opens her heart to many as friendship grows and will care for them deeply. But for a man to capture her heart, well, we will just say that hasnt happened yet. When the stress is decreased and the stench of death in the distant, Aurora can relax, laugh and share in the good memories.
Aurora has her stubborn side, from which there is no shoving her from her chosen path. She does what she believes is right and if someone gets in her way, her temper might get the better of her, although she tries to hold it back. She also can have quiet moments, where she doesnt say much and would rather be left alone. Once in a while she will feel shy, lets say, if she is in the presence of Lady Nasuada or Eragon Shadeslayer. Until she gets to know them better, she will remain reserved. But once she knows them, she will talk freely, voice her opinions, smile and laugh.
History:
Aurora has an interesting history. Her mother was an elf, and her father was a human. But because that combination was rare, her mother felt insecure in bringing the truth about her child. So she had given her away to just a normal family of humans, only leaving them with the girl's name, and her heritage but nothing of her parents. So Aurora grew up knowing what she was, but not who. She settled with the truth quick enough, growing up in a privileged household. Her father was a shipping merchant, who made a good wager and was almost always concerned with the well being of his ships and goods, rarely his family. Her mother was an artist, although not of the best and struggled to sell her work. Her mother made sure Aurora took lessons from many scholars, reading, writing, history, swordplay and other weapons, and even a little magic. When she believed she was well rounded enough to take care of herself, she left in pursue of adventure. On her trails she heard of the king and his evil ways. She also learned about the Varden and their fight, and thats when she knew her calling. She sought them out, and after several years she found them. she has been there ever since.
Along Aurora's travels to the Varden, she met up with two men. Violon and Merdoc. She traveled with them for many weeks, in the good times and the bad, surviving many run ins with the Empire soldiers. She grew close to them, friends through all their troubles. She soon found feelings in her heart for Merdoc. They fell in love, and only a short time together with their feelings in the open did they share together. Merdoc soon fell in battle and Aurora sunk into darkness. This is was brought on her quite side. She still mourns for him, but in solitude. She tries to hide her feelings of Merdoc, even if it means pushing him out of her head.
Since she has been to the Varden and now in Surda, she has learned of the eggs and wishes she could see them. yes of course she hopes she could one day have a dragon, but the dream does not spoil her thoughts. All she wants to do is touch an egg and marvel at its beauty and rarity.
Until she has that opportunity, she works hard and fights even harder in order to protect the lives of the innocent and to free the ones under the Kings rule.
Roleplaying example: (this example is as if she has a dragon and is a rider)
The sun was just beginning to rise from its slumbering sleep, casting red and gold highlights over the valley. The breeze sang its way through the leaves, humming its melody, snaking through the dark wavy hair that hung at Aurora's shoulders. She sat on the edge of the hill, over looking the land, her knees folded up to her chin, with her hands wrapped around her legs for warmth, and maybe comfort. Her chin was rested lightly on her knees, her head tilted only slightly to the side as she watched the yellow and orange orb in the sky. A big deep sigh shook her shoulders.
Spit it out. Whats bothering you?
Neroth asked. He rustled his giant emerald wings, unfolding them, then settling them back against his dark body once they were readjusted. He snaked his neck to the side, and peered down at her, his large eye blinking in the arriving sun. He flexed his claws, digging deep gouges into the soft rich soil.
Nothing.
She answered, short and simple, but with the hint of irritation. She let her legs slide away from her chin, and stretch out over the grass, which had the slightest amount of dew on the very tips. She leaned backwards, letting her hands catch her before her body fell back. She leaned against her arms and looked up at the sky, watching a falcon hunt for its prey.
Neroth gave a grunt from the deep insides of his belly, a gust of warm breath exiting his nostrils, a hint of smoke curling towards the sky. He crouched motionless, soaking in the sun.
A sigh like that does not mean nothing, child.
Aurora rolled her eyes at him and shifted her gaze away from Neroth, eying the faint outline of the ocean. She hated it when he called her child. And he knew it. He normally only did it when he knew she needed guidance but was too stubborn to ask. Normally he called her something more affectionate, not child...it was degrading to her.
I don't want to discuss it. Let us return home.
Neroth flicked a single eye towards her, looking her over and studying every movement. He could read her like a book, regardless of their bond. Neroth sank to the ground as he watched Aurora walk over to him, smoothing out her shirt. She jumped onto his leg, climbing up and settling in the massive crook of his neck, grasping an ivory spike in front of her. Neroth hesitated, almost saying something before he decided it was best to let her sulk on her own. When she was ready to talk about it, she would. He shifted his weight onto his back legs, and surged forward, leaping into the sky before the immense green wings snapped open and carried them off over the land.
