Name: Axe Rose/True name: 'Fricai Abr Brisingr' (Friend of Fire)
Age:150
Race: Elf
Appearance:>Axe<
While other elves have a proud noble stance, Axe walks with a limp and doesn't even have the appearance of a noble. His 7’ height and 300 lbs weight doesn’t really help him with getting elven friends. His piercing sea blue eyes make any enemy flinch from the hardness of the stares he gives. His shoulder length blonde hair is allowed to hang freely. The length leaves part of his hair outside of his helmet. A tattoo is clearly seen on his forehead showing his status as heir to the Rose clan. A ruby Red rose twirrled around a sword with his initials below it.
He wears a metal helmet along with two or three layers of metal used often in battle. His leggings are two layered plating that are held up by His belt which his sword hangs down from. The once bright, white armor is now scorched from The Fall and is covered in dents and scratches. He has an easy time walking in it as he has worn it everyday for the past 100 years. His >long sword< is 6’ long. The scabbard is a deathly red with his personal insignia a rose with a dragon below it blowing fire. The silver sword itself has seen much blood. The hilt has his personal insignia inscribed into the white crystal in the hilt.
Personality:
Axe doesn't show his personality much because few take the time to pay attention to him. However for those that do take the time they have found his personailty conflicts with his appereance somewhat. He looks to be a cold-blooded killer that wants nothing to do with others, while that is true towards his enemies, really he is nice and doesn't cause much strife. He loves to tell stories to the younger generation and tells his stories with pride.
He does have a dark side though and in private often has bouts of depression and flashes back to previous battles, anyone that invades his mind will find that. When in combat he is merciless allowing none of his enemies to retreat without wounds, he has killed innocents because of this. Then there is his greatest downfall, he secretly wishes that the Riders return to their full power and regain control of the land.
History:Axe was born fourty years before The Fall. In his early years Axe’s Father often talked with young, inexperienced Dragon Riders that were seeking someone to learn what the Elders weren't teaching, Axe's Father knew his limits and kept to them. His mother was often someone they would talk to for help in subjects the Elders tought about humans. They welcomed them all and several of the older ones played with Axe using their magic to take his concentration away from whatever his father and mother were doing. When he was ten he was taken to an egg like all other children. He didn’t receive a dragon but it didn’t matter to him for he felt something would go wrong with the riders.
He worked in the fields with humans for he had nothing else to do. Upon his twelfth birthday his father started to teach him magic. The training went on in secret for Galbatorix had recently killed a Rider and stole his dragon hatchling. Axe’s father tried to keep Axe interested in all kinds of magic but only one element caught Axe’s attention. The fire element was one that his Father and mother dreaded for it was often the cause of deaths and destruction of crops. Finally his father gave in and started to increase his son’s power in fire.
When the age of 33 came to Axe he was enlisted in the Human Military. He choose to take the Naval point of view the sea was his worst enemy during his training. He couldn’t explain why but he powered through it and was sent to fight Pirates not far from where Galbatorix was last seen. He became a Captain of a capital ship that was sent back and forth between the Rider’s Capital and the border cities of the soon to become Empire. His ship was sent into many of battles and many men under his command died. He was sent to learn how to fight on land and found that his Fire Element worked a lot better for him on land than on water.
He excelled at every aspect for ground fighting for his Half Elf abilities. When his father heard of the progress Axel was making, he had a sword imbuned with the element of Fire, he named the sword Arget Brisingir or Silver Fire. He enlisted into the Elven Army to increase his abilities in magic. Then The Fall came. He was sent to guard the Capital, Ilirea, against the Thirteen Forsworn. Axe fought viciously but when the dwarves retreated he knew the elves would retreat as well soon. He was correct and was ordered to what is now Surda instead of to Ellesméra. He couldn’t get in through the blockade so he had to hide in the Beor Mountains, Hardac Desert, and the Spine.
After Vrael was killed Axe immediately went into hiding only at the age of thirty. He stayed in hiding for one hundred two years. In that time he became an aggressive fighter and a merciless killer. Also in that time he raided Empire villages and trading routes. Often he worked with Pirates attacking port cities and sinking many ships. The Varden captured one ship he was on while enroute to Narda. He got away before they could do anything to him. He was too late in saving his crewmates but they all forgave him in a premonition he saw while he was close to death in the Hardac Desert. He joined the Varden upon finding a group of Elven spell casters heading toward Surda. When they saw his forehead they gave him bad news of his Father’s death by the hands of a Forsworn after the Capital fell his mother spent her life like all humans short but lovingly. He went with the spell casters arriving too late for the battle for the Burning Plains.
He returned home to the Elven Nation the only Elf that never retreated. A majority of elves, dwarves and Varden Humans turned their backs to him for not obeying the Elven Army commands while the rest looked up to him wanting to learn how to survive for that long without being detected. He was shunned so he left for the Varden and there he rejoined the fight. He was hiding in the Empire City, Narda until he heard that the elves had started marching again, he joined them and witnessed Glaedr and Oromis fall from the skies.

Role Playing Example:
The final battle was here, the Battle of Urû'baen. The sun was peaking over the horizon and Axe was already awake with his sword in hand. He was being briefed with ten other Elven spellcasters. He was the most experienced out of the all of them so he was to lead the small group. They had no idea what their mission was, then Shadeslayer walked in with a map. He started to brief the small group
“As you can see all the gates are protected by burning oil, Archers, Mages, and everything else the Empire can and will throw at us. If we break through the gates then we could easily swamp the city.”
He looked up at the group and then pointed at three different spots on the map. They were all labeled ‘EXPLOSIVES’.
“As you can see we need fires started here, here and here. We do this and we could distract them long enough to break through the gates. I suspect you all would have to be close to the walls. I expect few soldiers to walk out of this unscathed. Good, any questions before we start?”
Axe spoke up, “What if they rush out the gates at us? What do we do then?”
Eragon nodded and answered, “Push them back into their city and kill them all.”
Everyone was dismissed right after and went their separate ways. Time elapsed and the Heavens opened up driving rain onto the battlefield, however the rain couldn’t stop the birds of prey from circling the battlefield. The mission Axe was assigned had just went from impossible to suicide. The other ten elves requested assignment changes and were reassigned to patrolling, Axe had some pride and decided to take on the mission alone.
The time elapsed slowly and Axe spent the time sharpening his sword, it didn’t need it but he had nothing else to do. A horn sounded and the time had come, the Final battle was starting soon.
Axe got into position on the front line, the walls of the city before him were tall and grim. Drums started to beat and war cries were screamed from both sides of the battlefield. The noise lasted for three minutes and then silence. A single horn in the distance started a stampede. The ground shook as the massive army charged the gates. Arrows landed everywhere, bodies appeared all over the place. The frontline was missing at least sixty or seventy percent of the men. Axe saw the gates open and soldiers started to rush out, arrows still flew from the walls and some of them found their own men. Axe slowed down and felt the rumbling of the ground as the front line kept up with him.
“FIGHT TO THE END!” Axel yelled as he slashed out and killed an enemy soldier. The Final Battle had officially begun.
