Name: Serika
Age: 14
Race: Human
Appearance:
Serika's bright green eyes are the total opposite of her cappuccino-colored skin. They sparkle and light up as she gets excited, and become dull as her mood darkens. They reveal most of her emotions, so she has a hard time hiding them. She blushes easily when she's feeling extreme, causing a tinge of pink to appear on her tan face. Her hair is dark as the night, and she oftens covers half of her face with it, looking out through the uncovered half.
Serika is about 5'2, with long legs that help her run fast. She is slim, but surprisingly strong. She uses a small dagger that she carries around all the time to fight on a black belt. Serika holds a small bag to carry food and water. She usually wears a small dress and leggings, and goes around barefoot unless faced with a rocky landscape.
Personality:
Serika trusts and is kind to only her closest friends. She is uneasy around new people, and says only a few words. Unless she is around her friends, her tone is sharp and her words are blunt. She uses sarcasm often. When Serika is warmed up to someone, she's happy easily. Despite her usually crabby mood, her smile can make anyone happy.
Serika likes to remain hidden unless she has to reveal herself. She enjoys forests and mountains, places where she can hide. She appreciates sunny, warm weather, when she can get outside for some fresh air. Serika hates people who push her and try to make her do what they want. They're just like a bunch of flies, buzzing around her ear.
History:
Serika was born in the Empire, where her father was a rich man working for the king, and her mother was a housewife, taking care of the household. She was totally okay with her life until one day, she saw a ragged man on the streets. Wanting to know why he was like that, she asked. The man replied that he defied the king by telling him that he did not want to serve in the army. Now the king took away his food and shelter, throwing him on the streets to die. Serika knew that her parents were aware of what they were working for, which was misery and pain. Horrified, Serika packed her bags and ran away, not wanting to see her parents ever again.
Serika had taken fighting lessons from her father in her free time, so she was able to defend herself well. No matter what came in her path, she was able to defeat it. She won her battles with pride, and traveled around Alagaesia, hoping to find a place with peace. Sadly, she found that the whole continent was at war and she could not avoid it. So she joined the Varden, hoping to defeat the evil that caused the war. Then Serika vowed that when it was over, she would find another place to begin.
Roleplaying example:
A sudden gust of wind caused Queen Islanzadi to finally realize where she was. She blinked, not believing that she had left her home. All those years shut up in Du Weldenvarden when she could be exploring all these "updated" towns which she had not seen in a few centuries. It was like she was back in the old times, a young and inexperienced elf, free to do whatever she wanted. What was I thinking? Islanzadi wondered. The feeling of freedom was like she the wings that she had spread a long time ago were finally starting to carry her away....
Away? The elven queen knew she could never ever be separated from her people and home. Wherever she went, her heart would always long for them to accompany her. And that was what she was wishing now. For all those talented elves to be with her on this journey. Worry pulled at her heart. What was happening to them right now? What would happen if Du Weldenvarden was attacked? Islanzadi sighed and sat down on the ground. How could she be so stupid. They weren't children; they were strong, proud and smart. How bad could the enemies damage them? Torn between two, a bead of sweat ran down her forehead and onto her hair. In the end, Islanzadi knew that she would decide that leaving them was the right thing to do.
The queen closed her eyes, but it seemed the moment that she had done so, she heard a sound. Alarmed, Islanzadi stood up and looked closely at the someone making the noise. An elf, she thought, smiling to herself. She's probably one of those people who risk their lives for Alagaesia every day, or maybe... Queen Islanzadi smacked her head. Not everyone is good, she reminded herself. These days, you can trust no one.
