Name: Cain Hun
Age: 14
Race: Human
Appearance:
Cain is surprisingly tall for a 14 year old, sitting at 5 feet and 9 inches. He may be very tall, but his body is very meek, and he has little muscle in his arms and legs. His skin has a very pasty complextion, only adding to his meek looking body. He has very curly orange hair, which is extremely dirty seeing as he dislikes bathing. Where Cain really stands out is his eyes. They are the fierce emerald colored eyes that run in his family; his brother and father had nearly the exact same eyes as his own. He has very large cheek bones and chin muscles, giving him a very well built face. All in all, Cain may not be the harshest opponent to look at because he has so little muscle, but his fierce green eyes will send you running.
Personality:
Cain is the kind of person you jsut can't put your finger on. He's always changing his opinion on something, seemingly every minute. The two things that stand still in his mind are his thoughts of the empire and his parents. He despises them both. Thoughts of running away from home have come into his head, he absolutely despises the little freedom he has in Surda. Freedom that could be given with destruction of the empire. However much Cain would love to stab any one of the empire's soldiers through the heart, he does not wish to kill.
Although Cain may not be the most fabulous at making decisions, he may have strokes of genius. Very occasionaly, it seems that with a flash of his eyes, his true brilliance shines. This brilliance can be showed in many ways; knowledge, strength, agility, and very very rarely knowledge of ancient Alagaesia. Cain may be odd, and somewhat wimpy, but if caught at the wrong time, Cain is an extremely difficult force to be reckoned with.
History:
Cain doesn't know much. About his life in Cithri, knowledge of Alagaesia, he knows almost nothing. The reason this is so is because his parents are quite protective, a little too much if you were to ask anyone. His life has been extremely repetitive, giving him the same routine daily: wake up, eat some breakfast, enjoy what little time he has outside playing with his little brother, Alan, then back into the house for the rest of the day. This routine has been made even more strict in the past while, with all the activity of the empire. Surda is the number one spot the empire wants to fall; everyones been uptight.
The empire. The one reason Cain knows anything about. The fact that Surda is a place that could be attacked any minute disturbs Cain and his family. Cain, however, believes that it should be no reason to stop what they have to enjoy in life. If the empire were to attack, so be it, they would probably die anyway, so enjoy life while you can. He had given his parents this opinion, but however much he pleaded them for freedom, they declined, telling him to rather than look on the dark side, reach for what glimmers of hope still remain. However much he didn't want to, Cain had accepted this. Seeing his parents way, he stole one of his fathers knives, and taught himself how to use it as a weapon. He carries the knife with him always, so that if the empire where to attack, he could at least do as much as to defend himself, and maybe kill a soldier or two.
Roleplaying example:
There was a loud thud as my butt hit the cold, hard street, and a roar of laughter as the kids encircled around me took joy in my pain. It's just another bruise to add to the list, I thought to my self. My body, however, bested my mind, and the thoughts of sucking it up left me as tears welled up in my eyes, the mocking laughter only growing louder.
"What's going on?" The distinct voice of my older brother Alan yelled. As he realized what was happening, he roared, "What are you little mongrels doing? Cain is a human being just like all of you! How would you like to have to endure the physical and mental pain of being a bullied 5th grade kid? Get out of here!"
The 7th grader's laughter ceased, and they scattered quickly to their houses, realizing the threat my 12th grade brother posed. He offered me a hand, which I habitually took, seeing as this happened so often.
"Thanks...," I muttered, "I couldn't have gotten out of that on my own..." I hung my head down, and kicked a rock solemnly, knowing exactly what was going to happen next.
"What the heck were you thinking, Cain?!" Alan's voice bellowed, "It seems that every time I turn around, you're sitting on the ground crying to yourself, letting these 7th grade punks bully you around!"
I winced, my lips quivering and my braces showing, ever so slightly. At the sight of this, Alan appeared to calm down, and a look of apology found its way on to his face.
"I'm sorry Cain, I always forget you have a phobia of anger..."
"It's okay, really..." I said gravely, but really it wasn't. Even at the slightest hint of anger, you would find me mad dashing away from whomever was exuding it. I tried many a time to face my fear, but every single time the same result. "I wish I was more like you!" I yelled, seemingly out of the blue.
"Cain, everybody has special talents; everybody is different," Alan said sternly.
"You and I know equally well that there's nothing special about me!" I cried, "I'm just some loser who nobody cares about; all I am is a waste of space!" I made a mad dash for home, tears streaming from my eyes. All I wanted was to lay in bed all day and cry until my eyes ran dry.
"Cain!" Alan yelled, but it was too late, for I was already out of hearing distance from him.
