Name:
Ava Vorandeer (Original name: Ava Marsados)
Age:
80
Race:
Elf
Appearance:
Ava is 5' 2" tall and 110 lbs heavy. She has the rounded ears of a human, as was her choice through the magic of her people. She is white skinned with little tan, and has a deep green eye color. Her hair is long enough to reach the middle of her back, and is a color somewhere between blue and purple. She is a stunningly beautiful to human eyes, no matter the gender, due to her magic to enhance her appeal to sentient beings, as well as a change to herself with magic to biologically attract all humans and give a slight draw to elves, though severity on that one depends on the elf's skill. She wears a pink tank-top-esque top and beige color pants, with knee high boots, with the leather of it covered by the pants. She wears a long-sword on her hip and small shield on her back, and occasionally travels in a black traveling cloak with hood. She holds herself like nobility and moves extremely gracefully, but seems slightly vacant in the eyes.
Personality:
Ava is a calm, beautiful, and arrogant elf. She is extremely confident in all of her skills and will tell you so. She'll take any challenge, and will almost always succeed. She is caring to her family, and to her lovers. She enjoys the martial arts, but is almost obsessive with magic, learning as much as she can, as fast as she can.
History:
Ava was born in Kirtan, in Du Weldenvarden. As always with a elven birth, hers was celebrated. She was the daughter of Taraneth and Marial, two respected elves, and was taught to use magic and learn swordplay from the best instructors her parents could find, and was a fast learner in both arts. She was a skilled mage and graceful swordsman. She changed her body to be angelic, and to be attractive to the sexes, both chemically and magically. She, at the age of 50, decided to set off and travel the human's country. This was generally weird, and she was advised to not leave, but leave she did. For six years she travel to and fro in the human countries, as elves can travel much quicker than humans. However, in the sixth year, she was caught between a rock and a hard place. She ran across a band of soldiers pillaging and raping a camp. She was incensed, and ran in to help. As she sliced up the soldiers, she was surprised to find that there were more than she expected, and that an unknown magician was protecting them, and protecting them well. She hadnt time to find and focus on the magician, so she fought the normal way. She decimated the force, but tired herself out in the process. As she was slowing and unable to be sure she would prevail, mercenaries with obviously no ill will towards her advanced and aided her. With there help, she and the mercenaries turned the soldiers away by slaughtering every one of them. She turned to them and told them that she was in their debt. She talked to the leaders of the group, Don and Selene Vorandeer, and told them that she was well and truly in their debt. To repay them, she said, she would do anything. If the empire had learned of her roaming the countryside, she would have been forced to hide in Du Weldenvarden or be caught and tortured, and she did not wish to return to the forest so soon. So, to help her out, Don and Selene offered Ava a place in their family company, and adopted her under law as Ava Vorandeer. Ava was now in Don and Selene's family, and when Daran Vorandeer, their son, was born, she was an older sister to him. She had, by this time, masked her exclusively elvish traits, and became a mentor and operative for the Vorandeer family, assimilating into the folds seemlessly, enjoyably. When Eragon came out and sided with the Varden, as well as the fights in Farthen Dur and elsewhere, the family was made to choose, and the family as a whole, minus Daran who had already been released from the family, though Ava and Daran still speak in person or through letters, side with the Varden. Ava entered Varden service and revealed her identity to only the Varden's leader at the time and has worked with the Varden since, as did her new family.
Roleplaying example:
(( From my first character's prof, originally from The Galactic War: woswwar.proboards.com ))
*Daran strides confidently into the first few trees of the Bare Forest, friends and his rival Serj behind him. He feels fairly confident that he can do the challenge or surviving on his own for two days, no matter the legends. He has a small pack on his back, containing rations for two days, a firestarter, and first-aid kit with bacta patches. He has fairly durable, simple hiking clothes on, and a hat. He starts the hike through the forest as the sight at the edge of the forest fades, and moves for a few miles. After an hour or two of hiking, he spots someone running among the trees. His mind works quickly, and Daran sees a couple more running around him. He stops and slides into an unarmed fighting stance, and yells* Come out now!
*At his yell, he hears no response except that of grunts, and heavy breathing. He looks warily at where the sound is originating, and realizes the stories about the corpses being reanimated by parasites were real. He gets a jolt of panic, but clears that out of his mind as the adreniline starts pumping. A couple of the "zombies" come out of the trees, running at him and snarling. Daran lets them approach, then steps to his right quickly and snaps a kick into the "zombie" on the right. It propels the "zombie" into the next to it and knocks them down, tangling them up together. Daran sees his chance and bolts, trying to get away from the two that were just rushing him. Daran hears more snarling, now all around him, and shakes inside, overwhelmed by the sheer amount that he hears. He runs on, trying to get away from the living dead around him, and reachs a clearing, scampering up the closest tree to it, so he can jump off and run if he needs to, and hunkers down, thinking "This... is going... to be one hella long two days..."*
