Clearly, I was getting on Nasuada’s nerves.
This gave me a good deal of pleasure. Humans were all the same- all proud, all arrogant, and all very bad at controlling their tempers. I could see Nasuada’s fury from the tenseness of her shoulders and the way she stormed rather than walked. Her two human guards knew better than to make things any worse, so they were politely looking away. The dwarves were blatantly staring at me. Both Kull looked just as irritated as their leader was, which I could clearly see in the flash of their dull yellow eyes. Racial tolerance. I only wondered how long it would last. Alliances and peace treaties tended to be conveniently forgotten after big events like wars, and when this one is over, if I was still alive, it would be interesting to see if history would repeat itself.
“We will speak later in my room, until then, speak of no one about my spies, for not many in the Varden know I use them since they do very secretive things. I would rather no one think they can do that just out of the blue.” Nasuada’s final reply was a little more controlled, and when she turned to look at me, she was clearly trying to hide her anger, although her dark eyes still flashed dangerously.
I raised an eyebrow, but said nothing. Every kingdom that had ever existed had spies, assassins, and other special troops. Even the Riders had, back when we were still alive and powerful. It was well-known that Nasuada had access to secret intelligence. The spy base in Farthen Dûr that I’d trained at for twenty years had been entirely out in the open. As for out of the blue, most people were smart enough not to jump into a crowd of Imperials without training, and those who were stupid enough to do so, like several buffoons I’d known back at the camp, died quickly, which was far better than having idiots like them wandering around the Varden anyway. They had enough already. I bit back a scathing comment, though, since the Kull were suddenly fingering their weapons and looking at me like they were wondering how my head would look on a pike.
Nasuada was now talking to the boy. I had nothing more to say to her anyway, so I glanced at the two misfits who’d joined her. The boy, Kano, suddenly looked furious, his face turning red with rage, his bright blue eyes flashing and lost in some deep, angry thoughts. The short elf, whom Nasuada had referred to as simply Ava, was happily skipping after the multi-racial mob, a grin on her face and staring hard at Nasuada. She seemed to be enjoying her bad mood just as much as I was.
We crossed over the bridge leading to the encampment outside of the city and approached it. Legions of tents covered the ground, disappearing into the horizon as a pale yellow mass of humps. Come to think of it, I could leave Nasuada if I wanted to right now and head to my designated tent to kill some time with a catnap, but the sight of them made me shudder. I liked to think of myself as far less snobby than the rest of my race, but sleeping on the ground with the bugs and the snakes and nothing but a piece of yellow fabric to keep out the cold was more than unappealing. No wonder Sthenno hated it so much here.
As we passed the troops, they bowed and nodded in respect to Nasuada. The Nighthawks, Kano, Ava, and I were given far less attention, which I found somewhat of a relief. Way back in the day, when I’d still been a Rider and Galbatorix hadn’t taken over, elves were as common as squirrels. Then, many years after the Fall and my dragon’s death, when I’d emerged naked and half-insane after decades alone in the Spine, elves were considered to not even exist anymore, and I’d been chased and hunted down like a dog. And then months later, when the war really got rolling, my visits to Surda had always been rather irritating, as I’d been gawked at and followed like some kind of god. Elves, I’d told at least a hundred people, were nothing special. They were just as bad as humans, just not in the same way. And yet still, for a very long time I’d been seen as some blindingly gorgeous alien. And I still was, among the peasants and even some nobles. But the Varden’s army, at least, having seen a good deal of elves by now and several far more impressive dragons, no longer ogled me. I still got second glances, but nothing as bad as before Eragon and Saphira had come onstage.
I half-listened to Nasuada and Kano’s conversation as I walked, hands clasped behind my back, peering uninterestedly around at the camp. Nasuada had put on a big smile for her army- a little too big, in my opinion, but again, for the sake of my neck, I kept my mouth shut. Instead, I turned my attention to a soldier running up to Nasuada. From his moderate decoration and feathered helmet, he looked to be some kind of commander.
“My Lady, the Fourth Platoon has just returned from the village of Rift,” he gasped. “Of the thirty of them, only… only six survived. It was a massacre.” He stopped to catch his breath before continuing. “But they brought back… two prisoners. One is one of those undead people. The zombies.” A sudden quiet fell on the entire surrounding area, and some kind of shudder went through nearly everybody. Doctor Ramakrishna’s undying soldiers were a truly remarkable creation, if you looked at it from a scientific point of view. The woman was… rather interesting, if completely insane. “The other they caught digging through the corpses. Captain Davenport managed to break into his mind. He’s a spy for Galbatorix. He was posing as a peasant. I think… I think you should see them.”
My pale, delicate eyebrows rose at the man’s words, and I turned to glance at Nasuada to see her reaction, as did just about everyone else who’d heard the commander’s words. An Imperial spy and an abomination of nature, ooh, it nearly made my stomach tickle. Even if Nasuada passed on it, though I somehow doubted she would, I was very interested in meeting both of those men.
“What do you think, My Lady?” I purred. “Is this matter important enough for Her Graciousness to go and see it for herself?” Words;; 1107 Muse;; Surprisingly good! Thoughts;; Yay! A decent length!

Kano was just about to respond to Nasuada when a man from the army came running up. He listened intently, focusing in on the details of the situation. It seemed to him as if the question had just been answered by the man. Kano chuckled slightly with a grim humor. "There is the answer to you question, m'lady." he said with a wry grin. "but wherever you place me within the infantry troops will be fine."
Such a coincidence could not be passed up. His answer was a simple one, and yet he knew he had just put a lot of power in the hands of Nasuada. His destination was clear to him. He was going to relieve the dead soldier's places in the platoon. As he contemplated his situation, he noticed the others around them, and he noticed Ava looking at him with anticipation. This attention was beginning to annoy him. He couldn't understand what made him such an interesting character.

Nasuada _____ _____ _____ _____ The young elf woman had fallen behind, her men were walking with her, however, at a respected distance as they moved. A few people in the city still gawked at them, but she paided them little attention. She did not care for the people of Surda, only the people of her Varden... She moved from the city streets to the dirt and rock route towards her army. The tents rose and people began to stop what they were doing to wave a greeting to her. Children ran past her, giving her a smile. Children had no place in a Army, but they were the heart of the Varden and the reason many men fought. She knelt down for a few children as they came, yelling her name. She laughed as they told her stories, their happiness have her own heart a happy feeling. She loved the children more than anything in this world.
Mother's also came to Nasuada, speaking to her about problems they were having. Nasuada nodded to a few and explained that other items would have to be taken care of another time. She ordered a few men who were walking around and part of her army to help the women with what could be done and they complied, a few knowing the women.
She continued on, greeting many young men who did not need to be fighting and a few older men who seemed unable to fight but at the same time did what they could. She smiled as a few men came to her, telling her a odd joke that a kull had told them, her own Kulls were laughing slightly and Nasuada looked at them. She figured it was a trick the kulls were pulling, but she did not mind. She had watched many Kull socializing well with her men and women. Kull Women were helping the women of the Varden and the Kull Men were showing the men of her army how to do things to help them win a battle. She had thanked them with the best that could be offered.
“My Lady, the Fourth Platoon has just returned from the village of Rift,” She looked at the man who came running up to her. She waited, knowing much was waiting to be told. “Of the thirty of them, only… only six survived. It was a massacre.” More attacks, her men were lossing numbers, but their was still more heart then the men of Empire. “But they brought back… two prisoners. One is one of those undead people. The zombies.” She looked back up, slightly shocked, but she nodded before she looked at her people. They were quiet, the mothers had taken their children, the men were listening hard. “The other they caught digging through the corpses. Captain Davenport managed to break into his mind. He’s a spy for Galbatorix. He was posing as a peasant. I think… I think you should see them.” She looked at him, her face had not changed any.
“What do you think, My Lady?” She looked at him for a moment, barely glancing before she looked ahead. “Is this matter important enough for Her Graciousness to go and see it for herself?” She looked back at him, a sly smile touching her lips.
"More important then anything I have yet to have a soldier bring to me when it comes to war... Take me Soldier, I want to see this spy... Also, have someone go and find both Tasalae and Tasia, quickly," She watched as he ordered three to go after the two women she had asked for and then moved with him towards the place of importance.
"There is the answer to you question, m'lady." She looked at Kano for a moment as they walked. "but wherever you place me within the infantry troops will be fine."

*Ava starts slightly when she hears the news that the soldier brings and focuses closely on him.
Thats hardcore, capturing one of that bitch's creation...
Ava bows to Nasuada and speaks softly to her*
If I may be of assistance, my lady, I would be glad to help. I am exceptionally skilled in the use of magic. Give the order, and I will do anything that needs doing in this situation.
Chargeless even. Just don't let it spread around that I'm soft like that. Can't show favorites.
*Ava winks and bows, then follows, waiting for her response, hoping she has a chance to aid in this. The creations are abominations to Ava's world, they offend her sense of honor, using tricks like this. Making them so horribley offends her sense of skill as well, and makes her angry even.
Bitch could at least have taught them better combat skills, they are just shock troops. Terrifyingly effective shock troops, but all sent to die unwitingly, and for a lie...*

Nasuada _____ _____ _____ _____ She moved through the troops, her own guards were unphased by the report, the kulls seemed to have a smirk on there face, which was fine by her. She knew they talked about taking away all the weapons of one of those things and batting them around until the decided to kill it themselves. She however would not allow such a thing to happen, at least, not right now.
"M'Lady?" She turned her head as a beautiful elf joined her, a white cloak over her body, her movement was flawless. On her hip was the sword that held the head of a dragon on the pommel, ice blue stones weaved through the head and eyes, even the teeth were a beautiful ice blue color. Nasuada nodded to her, she followed at a easy pace.
"This is new, normal I come to find you, what is your calling M'Lady?" The wolf looking elf stepped in front of her, a smile on her face as she step back and forth, keeping Nasuada from passing her. Nasuada stood there and looked at her friend elf.
"Tasalae, Tasia, thank you for coming... I will explain everything my friend, but Tasia, if you don't move..." The wolf elf laughed and moved aside. The wolf elf held her own swords, but they did not hold a dragon head as the other elf did, she had a wolf pommel with red color gems weaved through the pommel. You could tell the same elf made the two swords. Tasalae moved aside, her arm being visible, a dagger was seend attached to her arm by a leather casing. It looked the same as the sword that was there, the dragon head pommel was smaller, but a gem was weaved through the same as the sword.
"If I may be of assistance, my lady, I would be glad to help. I am exceptionally skilled in the use of magic. Give the order, and I will do anything that needs doing in this situation. Chargeless even. Just don't let it spread around that I'm soft like that. Can't show favorites." Nasuada looked at Ava and thought for a moment.
"Ava, we will see what help will be needed, I am such my soldiers have taken away any weapons from the two captures," She looked at Tasalae who held her eyes for a moment. The Kull and the Wolf Elf, Tasia, stood talking about the old day, laughing. "Tasia, you laugh to much, do you understand that?" Tasia allowed her mouth to open. Her face looked like a true wolf, the nose was out more, like a snout, her ears were on top of her head. She was covered in fur and her voice was like that of a wolf, hollow.

Nasuada’s face remained expressionless, much to my surprise. I tilted my head as a flurry of unreadable thoughts crossed her face. The crowd that had gathered around her was starting to break off. Most of the women and children were leaving, as well as several of the men, although most were sticking around to hear what Nasuada had to say. After a couple of moments of looking back and forth at various people, including me, she suddenly smiled. Oh, well, she’d finally controlled her emotions. Easy come, easy go. The day suddenly got a lot more boring.
“More important than anything, I have yet to have a soldier bring to me when it comes to war.” One of my eyebrows rose. “ Take me soldier; I want to see this spy. Also, have someone go and find both Tasalae and Tasia, quickly.”
Even though the commander looked right about ready to keel over from exhaustion, he rushed to do Nasuada’s bidding, dispatching three soldiers to find the two. The names were unfamiliar, which bothered me, since I knew nearly every important name in the Varden. The Riders and dragons I knew by name, face, height, everything, both Varden and Imperial. Neither of these two were Riders, as far as I knew. The latest dragon hatching on either side had been about a week ago, and new Riders, unfortunately, didn’t pop out on a daily basis like they had back in the Age of Riders. I fell into step right behind Nasuada as she started walking, my tall, thin figure looming over her. Ava and Kano were quick to follow, as were the Nighthawks.
It was a very long trip through the rows of tents, although maybe it was just their dreary repetitiveness that made it feel so long. I didn’t blame the unnamed commander for being so exhausted by the time he reached us. Defeating the Empire was actually quite an easy task. Lure the lot of them into Surda, and then make them run through the tents. By the time they made it to Borromeo Castle, they’d be dropping like flies. Simple as that.
I heard Kano chatter about wanting to be placed in the infantry as we neared the end of the rows of tents, causing me to sigh. I just hoped he wasn’t yet another idiot with something to prove and a fatally large ego that ended up painting the Empire’s swords with his blood and guts. Too often, I’d sat back and watched battles that included fools of that kind, with the Empire coming out victorious. Obviously. I glanced at Ava, who’d mentioned her skill in the use of magic right when we’d started walking. She suddenly looked furious, her expression hardening. With all these people bent on murder, I would probably have to restrain certain eager beavers if they tried to kill the Imperials before they got a chance to tell us anything.
Then, two people joined us. Both were women, and they immediately approached Nasuada like an old friend. I glanced at them with little interest as they talked. One was clearly an elf, from the angular features, lithe, tall body, and ridiculous beauty. She was armed with a finely crafted elven sword and clothed in a flowing white cloak. The other was an elf as well, but had changed herself- instead of the overwhelming beauty of most elves, she had used magic to make herself look like a black wolf, only standing on two legs. She was rather like that pompous ass Blödhgarm, only female. She, too, had a sword, similar to the other elf’s. These had to be Tasalae and Tasia. I didn’t pay much attention to their conversation, though, and simply remained silent as I walked some way behind Nasuada and her Nighthawks.
The two Imps were easy to spot. Well, not them exactly, but by the circle of humans surrounding two small figures on the ground with their pikes pointing straight at them, I could assume that we had found the spy and zombie. I increased my pace a little, stepping in front of my group easily with my long legs. The soldiers, who were made up of Surdans and Varden alike, glanced at me quickly, saw I was an elf, then immediately trained their attention back on the two figures slumped on the ground. Ah, the innocent nature of elves. They were so trustworthy. One of the soldiers, however, the leader by the feathers on his helmet- most likely Captain Davenport- saluted me.
“Greetings, fair elf maiden! We’re under orders to watch these-” “All well and done,” I barked, my irritation at my yet again mistaken gender turning my voice into a feline hiss. “Now move aside so we can actually see them.” The soldier looked nonplussed. “Wh- what a lovely, er, baritone voice…” I shoved aside the two humans directly in front of me, my elven strength easily outmatching their mortal power. They were pushed into their comrades, opening a large space in the circle. I peered down at the crumpled figures in front of me, trying to ignore a soldier muttering to a very confused-looking Davenport, “All elves are girly, sir, even the men. They can also be rather mean-tempered…”
I focussed on the two men lying before me. One was unbound, so certainly the spy. His face was mashed with dirt, and his liquid brown eyes were wide with terror. That was all I registered before the much more interesting-looking person next to him drew my eye. He was chained and bound with irons. A filthy rag was stuffed in his mouth. His pale, yellow-green eyes stared coldly up at me. His face was so pale it was nearly grey, and rough, covered with scars from the battle he’d endured and from many months spent in the Imperial laboratory of a mad woman scientist. His nails were long and black, he stank of burning human flesh and filth, but there was something very regal about his pose, a certain lengthiness and elegance about his body that no amount of filth could hide…
Holy crap. Now she had elves going through zombification?
“Remy? Remy, is that you?” I tore my eyes away from the undead elf and stared at the human spy. His eyes were wide, his mouth was hanging open, and I realized with some horror that I recognized his face. It was Vivec. No. Not him. This was all I needed. “Uhh… no?” “It is you! Oh, dude, I thought I lost you back in Dras-Leona! Why’d you leave so fast, anyway? Everyone’s been wondering where you’ve been and so- AUGH!”
As secretly as possible, I stepped hard on Vivec’s foot, prompting him to break off his far-too-revealing rant. Vivec was young- too young, hardly even capable of growing a beard yet. Ten years of spy training in the Imperial camps had apparently had no effect on him whatsoever. The only reason that he hadn’t been killed off right at the start of training was because his daddy owned half the residences in Urû’baen. I grieved that the Tribunal had actually accepted an adolescent fool like him. And even worse, if he got out of here alive, my cover would probably be blown. I turned to Nasuada, who had approached the two men and was now standing near me, peering at them cautiously. I cleared my throat and took a small step back, gesturing towards the prisoners.
“All yours, milady.” Words;; 1245 Muse;; Good! Thoughts;; Uh, I think it was my turn to post, but whatever. XD

Kano stood up straight, having been leaning back and staring up at the sky just a minute ago. He grinned and then looked back down at the soldiers. His eye twitched, annoyance showed through. He tried to keep himself from whipping his cloth covered sword out and beheading the men in one fell swoop. That was when he realized that they, too, had families. Whether or not they were forced into service, he did not know, and that kept him from attacking them. He couldn’t bring himself to kill someone who did not willfully serve the blasted king, if you could call him a king. He was a blasphemy to the human race and to all of Alagaesia, regardless of race or belief. Galbatorix needed to be stopped, that was a given, no matter what he did to amend the plight of the dragons, he deserved to die.
Kano’s eyes flicked from place to place as the two other elves appeared. He blinked, looking between the female and the other wolf-like elf of what gender, he could not tell, at least not by looking. After hearing her laugh, he realized that the wolf-elf was a female. He should have known. He thought nothing of it before his face turned to Remy, or at least that’s what Kano thought her name was. He blinked and shrugged and looked down before he heard their discussion over the soldiers. “It is you! Oh, dude, I thought I lost you back in Dras-Leona! Why’d you leave so fast, anyway? Everyone’s been wondering where you’ve been and so- AUGH!” At that Kano's head shot up with surprise. Something was up, and he knew it.

*Ava follows them slowly, and listens to Nasuada's answer to me, slightly annoyed.*
Ava, we will see what help will be needed, I am such my soldiers have taken away any weapons from the two captures.
*Ava wants to slap Nasuada over the head and yell, "THERE IS MORE TO MAGIC THAN KILLING AND MAKING PRETTY SILK AND CHANGING YOUR APPEARANCE!!!!", but she checks the action. That would, infact, force her to kill her guards, and that would get her kicked out of the Varden. Which would be a shame.
She nods to Nasuada politely, even happily, and follows along. She also looks at the NEW elves arriving, and silently greets them, bowing slightly and making the over-intricate, in her mind, sign of fealty over her chest discreetly as they are obviously over her standing, but she will not interupt them to greet them properly.
Ava laughs softly as Remy is greeted as a woman, and confuses the men. As they walk past them, Ava pats the man who spoke on the shoulder and shakes her head.
As the group moves past them though, however, Ava's face collapses into one completely of shock as she sees the elf chained up and looking decidedly not herself. Undead even. She resists her first motion to draw her sword and remove the elves head... or chains... and, in doing so, almost misses the human spy's comment.*
“Remy? Remy, is that you?”
*As she hears this, she puts her mind blank and focuses on the man as he is distractedly blathering to Remy, attempting to discreetly enter his mind and find the memories as he thinks of them while blabbing, focusing on that while she waits for Nasuada and her ilk to start examening everything*

Nasuada _____ _____ _____ _____ They moved with ease, her two friends, Tasalae and Tasia, walked with her. Kano moved also, keeping in step fairly easy, as did Remy and Ava, who seemed annoyed at her own answer, but she did not pay attention. As she got to the crowd, she beckoned many to step back, she wanted her guards around these men along with the people she had brought. She looked at the two, the undead elf that she could tell made Tasalae and Tasia boiling mad, but they kept their actions.
She saw Tasalae pulled her beautifully carved sword, but Nasuada stopped her, looking her in the eye. "I want to get information first Tasalae, if you would like to try and search what mind he might have left." Tasalae's emerald eyes looked deep into the golden brown of her own. Tasalae nodded, placing her sword back into the case and looked at the zombie, using her power with ease to go into the mind. She opened her own eyes again and looked at Nasuada.
"Nothing... It's mind is dead, there is nothing to even search, no memories of anything," Such news was sad to hear, but she just nodded. Tasalae removed the sword with swift hands, twirling it over her head to get a good positin as it came down on the neck.
“Remy? Remy, is that you?” Nasuada looked up at the sound of the Spy's voice and the fact that he knew her own varden. “It is you! Oh, dude, I thought I lost you back in Dras-Leona! Why’d you leave so fast, anyway? Everyone’s been wondering where you’ve been and so- AUGH!” She turned her head to the man and then back to Remy, her own eyes showed no emotion as she stepped in front of him.
"Remy, Met me in my quarters tonight," She looked him dead in the eye and then looked to the spy. She pointed to him and Tasalae and Tasia nodded. The wolf elf, her friend, pulled the youth to his feet, growling slightly, showing her sharp teeth, meant for ripping meat from the bone. The boy showed the fear that would do nothing for him. "I would not fight her young man, she has been known to kill just for the pleasure of it." Nasuada said, the words eaching the man as he just looked at her and then at Tasia.

The crowd was quick to form around the little semi-circle of soldiers. Ava and Kano were standing nearly side to side with me, both peering curiously at the two prisoners but not saying anything. The Nighthawks had also gathered, all six guards staring hard at the zombie elf and Vivec, and looking poised for attack. I glanced at Nasuada again, who was standing with the two elves that’d joined us, Tasalae and Tasia. The growing number of elves was beginning to make me feel a little uncomfortable. The last time I’d spent quality time with any had been back in Du Weldenvarden, where I’d essentially been an outcast for having been on Galbatorix’s side during most of the Fall. Sadly, the elves and Varden alike were rather close-minded in that way. Once with the Empire, always with the Empire, that was their little motto.
Suddenly, the female elf tore out her jewelled sword, but Nasuada raised a hand. “I want to get information first, Tasalae, if you would like to try and search what mind he might have left.”
Tasalae simply nodded, and then turned to the undead elf. Most people, thankfully, were ignoring Vivec. The zombie stared up at Tasalae with his cold, catlike yellow eyes, and just smiled. It was easy to see that he was making no effort to stop the female elf. The woman’s expression was serious as she went through his mind, and then closed her eyes when she finally retreated, sighing. “Nothing... Its mind is dead, there is nothing to even search, no memories of anything.”
Nasuada looked saddened. However, she gave Vivec a sharp glance after his little rant, and then glared at me. “Remy, meet me in my quarters tonight.” I just rolled my eyes and shrugged. Wasn’t I going to see her for the spy thing anyway?
Nasuada then turned to Vivec. He was trembling with fear and with cold, gripping the frozen dirt below him, and trying very hard not to look anyone in the eye. All he wanted, probably, was to go back to his little manor in Urû’baen and laze about. I sighed, running my hand over the top of my head, trying to think of some way to deal with him. Suddenly, though, the wolf elf leapt at Vivec, pulling him sharply by the front of his shirt and yanking him to his feet. He was too frightened to even squeal.
“I would not fight her young man, she has been known to kill just for the pleasure of it,” said Nasuada, clearly enjoying his suffering. I gave Nasuada a stare. Not a very good quality in a leader, that. But not surprising for the lioness of the Varden. “Ooh, relax, Nasuada,” I sighed, meeting Vivec’s confused gaze. “He’s too cowardly to try anything.” “A fatal flaw in you humans,” sneered the undead elf in a very deep, old voice. I glanced at him immediately, my eyebrows practically leaping into my hair. He met my gaze, and then the two female elves’, his smile revealing even, bloodied teeth. “Why do you tire yourselves trying to make an alliance with them?” “Quiet!” barked Davenport from behind. “You will not speak unless spoken to!” “Well, then, shame nobody spoke to me yet. Maybe I should feed on the life of your leading lady and then I’ll get some attention.” Within a split second, every weapon within five metres of the zombie was trained on him, including my sabre. He raised his shackled hands in a show that he was merely joking, and then dropped them in his lap again. However, no weapon was put away. “My mind is not as empty as you would think. Perhaps compared to yours, but I still know things.” He looked up again. “I wish to negotiate for my freedom.” “Awfully talkative for one of Doctor Ramakrishna’s spawn,” I murmured, letting the tip of my sabre brush against the elf’s neck. “What’s your name?” “You may call me Wraith,” grunted the elf, trying to crane his head away from the tips of the blades and pikes and not succeeding. “Suits you, seeing how pale you are. What’s your elven name?” “I abandoned that name,” he sneered. “I am no damned elf anymore; I am a higher being. Now, will you hear out my negotiations or not?” “Colour me intrigued, but that’s up to our homicidal Lady here.”
I removed my sabre from Wraith’s throat, and the other soldiers did the same, although they kept their weapons up. I shoved my sabre back into its sheath, and didn’t touch it again. I couldn’t help but be fascinated by the zombie. Maybe it was just him, or maybe it was all elves that got turned by Malandra, but he showed a much higher degree of intelligence than the Laughing Dead I’d seen so far. They’d been drunk on their own glee at their invincibility, and their joy at the fear that the Varden and Surdans showed. This one, though, in his cold, cat-slit eyes, showed some sort of strength. I noticed the profusely bleeding wounds that covered his upper body. Any normal elf would have keeled over from pain hours ago, but he didn’t appear to even notice the thick, dirt-stained blood surrounding him. Still, if we were planning on listening to him, it might do some good to heal at least a couple of those injuries, or he’d collapse from blood loss.
“Wait!” screamed Vivec, before anyone could reply to Wraith. “I wanna negotiate too! If you’re going to let that dirty animal live, then I want out too!” He struggled, trying to break free, but the wolf elf held him tight, and a fang-baring snarl quickly drove away his efforts. He hung limp in Tasia’s grip, his face noticeably pale, even through all the dirt smeared on his face. “At least to get away from this… this…” he stared at her, not sure what to make of her. “Werewolf?”
Vivec was making me nervous. I wasn’t afraid of Nasuada- after the repeated foul language and dirty looks she’d given me, I saw little to fear from this leader of a pack of mangy upstart rebels. It was Vivec himself, the most pathetic member of the Tribunal, that I feared. With him being rather obviously no threat to anyone except himself, he’d probably he released, or at least allowed to live, and eventually his father would send people to free him. I doubted he was smart enough to realize that I wasn’t on the Empire’s side- not yet, at least, and even if he didn’t, he’d still report my strange behaviour to the Empire. Worst-case scenario, Galbatorix might want to see me himself. He’d revealed curiosity at meeting this brilliant scientist and spy that he never got to see, and if he happened to realize that I was none other than his still-living old friend…
“Wraith’s proposal sounds far more interesting,” I said, a bit more snappily than I’d meant to be. “We can listen to what you have to say later.” I glanced coolly at Nasuada. “What do you think, dear Lady Nightstalker?”

Nasuada _____ _____ _____ _____ “Ooh, relax, Nasuada,” She looked at Remy for a moment, Tasia was smiling wildly, her own eyes looked at the man she was holding, her strength not letting up as she looked at her. “He’s too cowardly to try anything.” She smiled a little, Tasia caught the smile and looked at Tasalae who was about to shop the head off the Dead Elf.
“A fatal flaw in you humans,” Nasuada looked at the sneering elf on the ground, his voice deep and old. She glared back at the elf, looking at him. Tasalae looked down also at the stupid dead elf, waiting for his next words. “Why do you tire yourselves trying to make an alliance with them?” Tasia glared at the elf below, he had possible once believed that helping the Varden was worth it, but now, that stupid woman with the Empire had changed him.
"We believe in a cause to get rid of the mutt of a king," Tasalae spoke as she looked down at the elf, bring her sword back to the ground, looking at the elf below her.
“Quiet!” She looked at Davenport, met Tasalae's gaze and then looking back at the dead elf. “You will not speak unless spoken to!” The elf seemed to take this to his own advantage alittle, looking at Davenport.
“Well, then, shame nobody spoke to me yet. Maybe I should feed on the life of your leading lady and then I’ll get some attention.” Tasalae's sword was at his neck, along with the Sword that belong with Remy, however, it was not long before he showed he was joking. This soldier did not show that of the human undead, he was a elf, he had more spirit in him. “My mind is not as empty as you would think. Perhaps compared to yours, but I still know things.” Nasuada looked at the elf for a moment, allowing her eyes to look intersted. “I wish to negotiate for my freedom.” She would not let him free, he was too dangerous, but she would allow him to live... Maybe...
“Awfully talkative for one of Doctor Ramakrishna’s spawn,” Nasuada looked at Remy as he spoke, she had to agree, she only heard laughing out of the stupid zombies, this one was at least talking some. “What’s your name?” She looked at the elf for a moment, waiting for the reply, Tasalae had lowered her beautiful sword, which Nasuade would have to have, but she would ask who made it first.
“You may call me Wraith,” His voice was strained as he tried to get away from the sword and pikes, which was funny. One quick slice and this thing would be dead, which honestly, Nasuada wanted more then anything in the world right now, but she wanted information first.
“Suits you, seeing how pale you are. What’s your elven name?” All elves had one, this one should be no different.
“I abandoned that name,” Nasuada narrowed her eyes. Tasalae and Tasia had done the same as he spoke, too stupid in her opinion to shut up sooner or later. “I am no damned elf anymore; I am a higher being. Now, will you hear out my negotiations or not?” Nasuada looked at Remy for a moment, wondering what he would think about a Undead soldier being lef alive when they were meant to be dead.
“Colour me intrigued, but that’s up to our homicidal Lady here.” She smiled slightly, looking at Tasalae who just looked at her before she pulled her own dagger from her sleeve, kneeling down to place it to his throat, looking him in the eye, a firm grip on the blade as she was about to answer him.
"Wait!" The voice of the spy caught my attention and I stood from where I had been, to look at him so my attention would not be split. “I wanna negotiate too! If you’re going to let that dirty animal live, then I want out too!” She walked over to him, looking into his eyes, Tasia smiled as she got closer to her. “At least to get away from this… this…” She raised a eye brow and Tasia showed her teeh in a wolfy smile. “Werewolf?” She growled slightly.
"I am no werewolf you mere human, it is call a elf, who could kill you in a few seconds and I would love a good meal," She growled, putting her snout to his nose, sniffing before she smiled, growling slightly. Nasuada placed her hand on her should and looked at Tasia who reluctantly looked away.
"No eating my prisoners," She just smiled, could not help herself before Remy spoke.
“Wraith’s proposal sounds far more interesting,” She smiled a little, she did like Remy, but she wanted to make sure he was on there side before she went crazy on the secrets. “We can listen to what you have to say later... What do you think, dear Lady Nightstalker?” I looked at him, smiling slightly.
"Sounds like the perfect plan... Tasia, take him the the holding area, but please, do not get carried away," Tasia smiled, laughing her wolf laugh and moving through the crowd. Children followed because they loved the elf. Nasuada then looked at the undead. "I will hear you out, however, Tasalae, take him to his holding, get heals to heal those wounds, I would rather them be healed then have to look at them... At least have him presentable." She said, placing her dagger back up her sleeve and strapping it into place like it always was.

*Ava smiles as the images flood into her mind, the answers that she was looking for...
Vivec being part of the Tribunal... The definaition of the Tribunal... Vivec's age... And Intelligence... Recognizing Remy... Remy being a Tribunal Agent as well as Varden...
Then, as quickly as those surged through her mind, she was pushed out by this man. She shakes her head and listens closely to the dialog between Wraith and the others. She reacts to Wraith, then resheathes her sword once her motions that he was joking. At the end of this, Tasia, the wolf-formed elf, is carrying Vivec away while they move the elf undead inside to heal her. Deciding that their is a little time, she follows Tasia closely.
She gently bows to Tasia as she gets close, and then gathers power inside her and utters*
Jierda!
*She lets it flow towards Vivec, keeping the intent to break his defenses as cleanly as possible while dealing the least mental damage as possible, trying to find the rest of the story between Remy and Vivec, and, hell, Vivec's story on a whole. She bends her will to breaking this barrier and flooding in, attempting to take his memory but leave him relatively unharmed.*

Kano stood back from the group, listening to the uproar. He felt disinterested, knowing that there was no job for him here yet. He would have to wait and watch. He rather liked the wolf-elf, her ferocity made him smile as he imagined the captive's throat getting gouged out.Kano knew he had a sick, twisted sense of humor, but that was his prerogative.
(Before you flame me on this horribly short post: I don't know what else to say. Right now Kano has been left out of the entire interrogation scene.)

Nasuada _____ _____ _____ _____ Tasia took the man towards where Nasuada had all the spies and catured from this war. She wishes she could just kill the thing now, she was starving. She ate fruit sometimes, but she was use to the meat she had been raised on when she lived with the wolves. She had been fasinated with wolves, had become the alpha female in the pack of thirty or more in her home land and she was so far away from them.
Tasia also thought about Remy. She had heard about him before, knew he was no good, but he was here and she did not like leaving her friend with him. She should of guest he was part of those damn empire soldier and she was going to crazy if he was here working for those damn idiots.
"Jierda!" She looked at the elf girl and smiled before she tightened her hold slightly on the young boy she held in her arms.
"Go full wrath, no reason to be gentle with those empire scums," She said, growling as she looked at the empire scum.
(I am sorry we left you out Kano)
Nasuada looked at Kano and motioned for him to join her. She wanted him to see all the parts and he seemed patient enough to question the stupid dead elf even if it seemed to be a little to smart and stupid for her time. Tasalae stood close to the dead elf as she looked at him.
Tasalae took the undead elf, moving him quickly, keeping his dirty hands in her own clean ones. She would have to wash her own hands, but right now, she did not care. Dirt was dirt, it did not matter about it. She wanted badly to kill the thing now, this elf was probably once a elf of the varden, killed by those empire scums during a scandle and now had to serve them. Nasuada knew her pain, could only imagine now many of those undead soldier were once varden and now had to protect the empire.
"Kano, come with me, I would like you to stay with me until we have you in a proper place in the Varden, after this is over I would like to know what you are good at and then we will place you in your best spot," She said, looking over at Kano, knowing all her soldiers wanted to do what they would like and he was being patient with her.

"Kano, come with me, I would like you to stay with me until we have you in a proper place in the Varden, after this is over I would like to know what you are good at and then we will place you in your best spot," Kano nodded and bowed. "As you wish, m'lady." He said politely. Kano watched the undead elf get carried away by the other elf who seemed disgusted at the fact that the Empire was now using dead soldiers as actual soldiers. It was a depraved thing to do, and Kano knew that was why he was fighting them in the first place.
His eyes traveled to Tasia who was walking away with the spy. He shrugged and then looked back at Nasuada. His eyes showed nothing of his true emotions. They were almost emotionless, the light blue eyes cold and hard, but his face was twisted into a slight smile, basking in the irony of the entire situation he had been put into.
