She moved with quickness, saddling her horse and grabbing her bow in case she needed it. She belted on her sword and sheath and then checked and made sure the bow was secure to the saddle. She checked over everything, even the braid in the horse's tail. She liked things to be perfect and that was one thing she was willing to do. She grabbed the torn cloak that was on the nail from their escape. She had fixed it enough to wear without problems, but other then that, she needed a new one and planned to get one as soon as possible.
She moved out the stables and mounted her black horse. She ran the horse easy threw the city and to him. He was ahead and now it was like a race. The people watched with amusement as she held a small smile on her face. She watched closely for any child to get in her way, which was very unlikely. She got to the end of the city and finally was beside him, a smile on her face as her steel blue eyes looked forward. Her clothing was on like it had been before, completely flawless, except the one place where she to stitch it up the night before.

Elaniver smiled as he neared the edge of the city, she was along side him and it was almost like a race as they both thundered out over the city boundaries and onwards towards the capital of Surda. Elaniver thought that at this speed it would take about half an hour, 45 minutes at the most. But then there was the question of the horses even being able to keep up this speed for that long. If their performance during the struggle to get back to the Varden was anything to go by then they would be able to manage it, but they did still have to return at some point.
35 minutes passed in which they continued to hammer through the country until they could easily see the firm yet still slightly make shift defences of the open city of Aberon. The defences weren’t really there to keep people out as such; they may not have been able to accomplish that feat. So they were mainly there to slow whatever was trying to get into the city. Elaniver could see the glint of arrowheads as they neared the city; evidentially they had been spotted and just because their numbers were almost non-existent didn’t mean that they weren’t going to be cautious in any way. He raised up a hand but quickly took it down, why would that help at all. If the Varden were so easily fooled by someone simply waving at them then the world would be doomed to Galbatorix’s rule and that was something that couldn’t happen, so naturally they wouldn’t be so thick as to fool for something like that. They neared the gates and he was recognised by one of the captains who shouted for the men to disarm and that it was a false alarm, leaving Autumn and Elaniver to rocket through the now open gates and into the capital, Aberon.
